yup 60 and has anyone actually bought any gear from the shop? i can't seem to find anywhere that sells better ranger gear than what i already have
lol was helping a friend on a quest killing some higher level guys after the quest he had to go i ended up going wrong way and getting one hit killed by everything xD lost like 60 silver until i was finally able to get back on the right route lol
I'm getting spikes of lag in the EU. I'm assuming it's just launch server issues, the starter areas are swarming at the moment so it's to be expected. Surprised just how busy it is to be honest!
i cant play this until its a little less crowded and everyone starts to spread out i just hate lag i guess ill be playing rift until then
No Internet Connection? I downloaded this eager to try and I get "No Internet Connection" however my Wi-Fi is up and running like a champ. Anyone else getting this error? Any ideas?
I'm sorry to ask this question yet once more, but seeing the last time it was asked this game was still in Canada and people were below level 10. So now that people have gotten a chance to play this a bit.. has anyone come across any indication there will be PVP? I know in World of Warcraft you start in a noobie zone and it's not until about level 20ish? you start hunting on grounds that are attackable. And since this game starts with all factions being on the same side.. maybe they have it set up that after level 20-30? you have to chose a side.. Order or Chaos?
Are there any weapon shops that actually sell useful items other than for beginners? I found some great weapon drops, but was just wondering wether I'll have to rely on drops for better weapons later on.
Well there is PvP, at least in the form on 1 on 1 duels. I'm not very high level though, but I've heard a lot of people ask about more extensive PvP at higher levels, with no answers other than speculation. It sure is strange that there seems to be no point whatsoever to order vs. chaos, so maybe you're right about that coming into the picture at higher levels.
Now that it's 1:25am in the UK it's much much quieter on the EU server I'm on. I've got the ping icon enabled and havn't had a red spike yet, mostly constant green with occasional yellow, whereas before every 10 minutes or so i'd get a red spike.
For challenging at least, it doesn't matter if you're order or chaos. Does that come into play in the PvP zones? Like are they order vs. chaos? That could be awkward for people from mixed guilds, fighting their guildmates...
My biggest question right now is, how in the world do you buy crafting recipes???? My tailoring recipes require some kind of currency I have no idea how to obtain.
here's the way I see it... for WoW, anyone can pay real money to get a farming service to throw some gold their way. with Gameloft's IAP, all it does is eliminate all that for them. either way, even if Gameloft DIDNT have the option to pay for gold, there will be other options anyway, so why not profit from it themselves? i myself dont bother with such things, but i get that there's just no way around it. either you use it or you dont. no loss out of your pocket. i can care less about someone running around in armor they paid for while i'm still trying to earn mine. i'm still enjoying the game. anyone that gets upset over this kind of stuff needs to get their priorities in order.
But it will create artificial inflation or at least speed it up much more. Not everyone buys gold in WoW even if they are affordable, because it can be inconvenient. You don't get your gold instantly, and sometimes you might have to give out your credit card information, and these kinds of services aren't usually widely avaialble in smaller servers. But what game loft is doing here is offering convenience which can have a drastic impact on the economy of the game in the long term.
There may be gold inflation but the amount of gold per dollar really isnt worth it. If it does get inflated it would be Bill Gates buying a couple thousand gold. The average consumer won't spend THAT much. That's like paying 10 dollars for 100 gold in WoW, really not worth the money.
I go back on this, lagspikes have started up again. It's not unplayable, but irritating. I'm assuming it's just launch issues, to be expected
