I play a monk level 22 and I love it. I'm a military spec so far and it's awesome. I can take on multiple mobs easy and hardly have any downtime. I use fist weapons so I also get triple hits with talent. I also have Mage level 18 but I like monk way better. And i can heal too.
Gameloft really need to add better teleport positions, took me quite a while to head back to the main city, place two good found weapons up then run all the way back to my quest locations, somehow it doesn't feel like it will be worth 90 silver if the weapons sell because it was so far out of the way. Teleport price is reasonable depending on map location but place them outside the city entrance please! otherwise that city is going to huge waste and is empty enough as it is.
Easily 75% of the playes are Monks or Rangers so far. Being a Warrior Guardian almost makes me feel unique.
Hey Hey vovin, saw you online , so is anyone else getting really annoyed by over crowding? It's taking forever just to kill a mob because everyone else keeps on stealing kills from me Oh, I'm I'm Mudkipz223 if you ever see me online, feel free to send me a friend request
Very good idea but it costs 10 Runes to unlock a slot, I got quite a few Runes I bought from the cash shop, so I might make an Auction Alt. How on earth do you get low levels to Greenmont?? Would someone be willing to show me in game on a team up? All my characters are level 6/7 and I have no clue how to get there! Pity there are no boats or Portals like in Everquest 2. Add me on Chaos & Order Online ARWIN (Mage), ARWIN66 (Monk) and ARWIN3 (Archer)-Arcadian server
why do you say so? but i believe, a warrior job is to tank, like all other game, when everyone reaches higher level, they will require a warrior to tank a higher level monster. btw, am still wondering which warrior is better? guardian or battle? any recommendations?
This game totally blew me away. When I got my first iPod touch back in 08' or 09', I never thought that they'd be capable of actually having a full-on 3D MMORPG on them. A few years later, Gameloft comes out with this brilliant title. Granted, it takes a lot of elements from WoW and such, but everyone took elements from Tolkien, did they not? Well, maybe not the UIs and mechanics, but you get the point. =P Anyways, I'm only level 7, but so far I'm loving it. My only issues are the occasional server out-of-syncs and battery draining, but what do you expect? It's their first few days. I hope this game really goes far.
Well Battle Warrior may be more dps, but a Guardian Warrior fits your description perfectly and I think people know that so they play dps. From what I've seen in game and on the forums, majority of people play Monk or Ranger. There's a handful of Mages and even less Warriors. There is no better Warrior, I think one will excel for damage and one will excel for tanking. So the talents rather really comes down to personal choice.
It's because the stereotype you wrote out is probably true in this game also. I'm a Guardian. I guess I'm willing to take one for the team.
It'll pay back if there's PVE endgame. If there's a thing that's always wanted in MMORPGs, it's tanks and healers.
i believe each classes has its own pros and cons. take mage for an example: magic user but will be dead when the opponent comes up closes as its has the lowest life. warrior: hardest to level (in most of the rpg due to is slow attack) but has the highest life and most nicer armor in the game. monk? not sure as i did not try it before ( can some one share this?) ranger: arror user? (can some one share this also?) hope i am right in some of them .. wad is important is that , play the game and enjoy it =)
Monks are good all around(very balanced IMHO) as they can provide team support by healing a solo person or team, provide buffs, and resurrect. Monks are also good solo as well with plenty of skills that provide more offense or defense as well as attack up close or from a distance, so soloing a crowd isn't a problem at all in the later levels. I'm loving my current build as he is a hybrid that's more military to be able to hold his own solo, but will also prove to be an asset to any party down the road with his support skills.
Frost mage gets a really nice single target damage spell with a talent choice available at lvl 15, rock shards. Insta-cast, 2 second knock down, low cooldown (around 2.5 seconds perhaps) and costs the same 25 mana as fireball with somewhat better damage. Not sure how that compares with firemage choices, but it made me feel better about frost mage as it really improves single target killing. Single targets of say -2 level can be killed with 3 spells 2x rock shards and one fireball -- roughly 4 seconds since rockshards is insta cast, and the mana cost isnt too bad at all, you can chain kill at least 10 mobs. But...when fighting equal levels (or even -1) in a field of mobs, it doesnt take much to get yourself killed -- the ice ring doesnt help when there is nowhere to run too because your in a field of mobs. In order to kite, you need to have room to do that. Other classes probably have more tolerance and fewer deaths. I'm thinking fire mage is probably better since there isnt really much use for ice prison (10 second lockdown) yet. In fact, I think I wasted a point on the 10 second lockdown, as there is a 20 second lockdown later in the tree.
