Sorry but things are looking bad. The only feedbacks we get from Gameloft are pre written messages on the support forum. They should awnser directly to suggestions via their forum so everyone can see.
There's another portal person in the swamps to go to the other island. I haunt gone through but i might have to now. Anyway, anyone else seen the swamp giant? In hours of playing in the same area I hadnt seen it, and then it was just randomly there next to the middle city with no quest attached or anything. Wandering if it's completely random.
Level means little. My character was level 6 and made the pain the behind trip there. Greenmont is on the map when you hold down the eye icon and press to track it. Anyone can walk there but staying on the winding path is key. Keep running because of enemies, keep checking the map and you will end up finally in Greenmont. It's large so then you have to spend time FINDING the auction house in this large place. Look for the gavel icon!! The pet seller is across the way, Jack the teleporter stuff seller is too along with the mail/storage. To the person who suggested making an auction alt, you aren't kidding! You can buy a teleport back to silence from Jack for 10 silver and a teleport to Greenmont which is like 50 silver. Expensive!
I would have never thought of sending money to another character as sorta like a bank. I will do that, thank you
That's the part that's starting to rub like sand in my swimsuit... The game repeats so many tired mechanics that for the complete MMO newbie it probably works well enough, but spawn camping, at my age? Come on That's what got me to put the game away this morning. I'd sat there in the same spot seemingly forever waiting on some boss to spawn that never did, so I went and did some other quests until, bam, ran into another case of sitting there with six other players fighting over nabbing half a dozen spawns each where only one showed up about every 20 seconds and new players were rotating in and out. Asked myself - is sitting in place trying to madly touch one of these spawns before anyone else does where it was going to take me at least 15 minutes to do even assuming perfectly optimal lag and gameplay fun? Concluded, nope, there are better things to do with my time. The problem I'm seeing is that, yes, it is reminiscent of older MMOs, but it's also de rigueur for the many mostly otherwise high quality "freemium" MMOs that have shown up in recent years from Korean and Chinese teams. Evidently, this sort of gameplay where the only real point seems to be running around with the shiniest, flamiest, biggest weapon in town actually appeals to the local game playing base where they're developed, and if that's your thing, more power to you, but having seen the much better approaches that other devs have taken in recent years, it's a dish best eaten in small bites. For the money, I'm happy enough, and I'd love to see Gameloft actually do something cool with the property, but the warning signs are everywhere that this may be a road that goes nowhere.
I like this game, only thing I want is dungeons/instances and mounts, any plans of adding these into the game?
Ugh.. I thought I was buying a portal spell that I could use in the future (such as in WoW for mages). 50 silver to teleport to the city I was already in is a bit pricey for a level 10 player :/... On a side note, is there any way to get invites to the toucharcade guild anymore? If so, I am on Arcadia, and my name is coachmcguirk.
Then they'd have to change it to like losing 10% exp or something. There's always a penalty in deaths. Also, I'm sure with the high level item drops the money you lose from deaths, doesn't outweigh the money you gain.
It's a bit much at first. I'm 24 now and single portal teleports in the swamps cost 12 silver. So it's starting to even out and 80 silver for a trip to greenmont and back is acceptable. On an unrelated note I finally made it to the pvp area there. Be aware that there's a pvp flag like in other mmorpgs and you remain attackable for a few minutes after you leave the pvp area.
I didn't play for one night and I already feel behind lol. Also made the mistake of accidentally using all my money to go to an area way above my level. It's like spending all my money on a bus ride to the dangerous parts of town, and then having to walk home.
Still not level 10. I feel unaccomplished. Anyways, would anyone be interested in a forum dedicated to this game? Relevant: Is using a mix of two trees a good idea?
Try shopping at the skill book vendors for the other classes. Actually, the talent trees unlock new skills so I think you can figure out everything you need to know on how each class plays just from looking at their talent trees. On a separate note, I wish there was an intermediate level map view because I seriously got lost for like an hour wandering (and dying) when I fell into a deep valley between the haunted mansion and mirror lake. I think I'll invest in one of those teleporter scrolls in case I get lost again. It might also be a wise investment if I find myself surrounded by ? level mobs since it could save me from a costly death penalty.
You will need to craft until you have 550 crafting currency. Then you can visit the trainer in Greenmont and buy the intermediate rank from him. The rank upgrades are on the last page, after the recipes.
Eh, if this is like every other single MMO I've ever been in, no matter how much stuff the game has in it, all that ever seems to happen is a bunch of idjits power level their way to max level and then clog up chat whining there's nothing to do - happens in EVERY game. I'm just playing on and off, switching between alts, and enjoying the game for what it is. Haven't even touched the teleporters yet, but that's pretty funny. I've had enough trouble just pushing onward on foot - don't have to go very far before suddenly all the quests and mobs are punching you in the nads again.
