I have not played this much of one game in a very long time, really addicting. It is probably a good thing that time played is not displayed, that would be pretty scary to see how much time I have put in. Finally got a pet drop.
Yeah, this is a frustrating quest to do when the beach is overcrowded but here's a tip: instead of fighting the crabs, run over to a sailor as soon as he spawns and immediately use your first aid kit. The casting time is fast enough that you will not be interrupted by combat. Then you can finish off the crab(s) that are attacking you or run away to the shipwrecked boat out in the water.
Yes, I have my alt permanently parked in Greenmont to buy me new skill books as I level and, of course, to check the auction house regularly for equipment upgrades. I also mail stuff to my alt so he can sell it on the AH. I made a bunch of money selling tradeskill materials and green weapons There's also a very handy teleporter vendor in the courtyard outside the auction house so I buy and mail teleport scrolls to my main whenever I want to teleport to a specific location
Happened to me the first time, have u tried scrolling down that ingredient list? Last time it happened turned out there's more than 2 ingredients
You can only teleport from one location to an adjacent location at a time. So, for example, you'd pay for a teleport from Silence to Cliffwatch, then pay for another teleport from Cliffwatch to Windmill Farm, then pay for yet another teleport to Bellshoal or Salty Wind. Yeah, it's rather silly but that's how it works for now. Hopefully one day Gameloft will allow us to teleport anywhere and just charge us accordingly for the distance traveled.
Or not charge extremely exuberant prices. Only thing worse is death penalty. At level 60 it must several gold. Thats several dollars when you die. That's called milking IAPs lol. Love the game though. Just not the micro transaction orientated bullcrap.
Bankchar? I am always making sure just to carry a few silver pieces around, for bread or teleports. Especially when solving a more difficult quest. Rest of it is in my bank account (and one letter in my mailbox with a bit gold, when I need it fast without char switching).
The turn in is in Wyrgast's Library and you turn in 10 pieces at a time. By the way, be careful of crossing the PvP area (Arkan's Field). I got jumped by two guys: one higher level than me and his buddy who was lower level than me. Needless to say, I took them both out and they left me alone after that. Muahaha
Just for the record, I lost 41 silver or about 10% of the gold I was carrying when I died at level 26 (I got careless while fighting a mob 5 levels above me). Is everyone else losing about 10% of their gold upon death as well? I'm sure we can figure out the formula once we get a few more data points...
Universal can somebody confirm that when you buy this game it will be playable on both my iphone and ipad without buying uit twice?thx!
Almost lvl 30, i've been in Whispering Islands, they look like Stranglethorn Vale. Very very nice. I also noticed the first DAILY quest coming. I have no problem soloing elites 2 levels above me and i'm specced battle/guardian. 15G so far having spent 5 for the guild and 6 for added inventory. I use my alt as bank to preserve my cash Oh BTW: dying in PvP give no penalities in gold. Just a bit of spam: For any Italians on the board we are on Hall of Blades (EU) with 95 players in guild (The Italian Job). Feel free to whisp me (Seviatar) for invites
I just picked up one of these fish pets from a murloc, er I mean Level 26 Deep Swamp Fishfolk outside Wyrgast's Library. Lucky me
I just bought a copy I've never played wow or any mmorpg in fact so I don't know how long I'll persist with it. It's on the back burner for now though but I'm sure I'll be able to give it some proper playtime before 3 months runs down. From my brief look at it I found it quite confusing as there are so many other characters just standing about and to be honest I couldn't tell what was npc and what was another player. So basicly I just walked about for 5 minutes without a clue, got lost got attacked by a few wolves and goblins and turned it off I didn't really see anything that made me think it looked particurlary good or was worth a subscription. Early days though I'll probably come back to it and hopefully get my bearings next time.
The cost of resurrecting goes up by 1 silver after each death. So after dying 100 times the cost will be 1 gold. It isnt tied to level.
Has anyone had a look into how data hungry this game is? I ask this because I think a few may be surprised when they see their next data bill be it wifi or 3G (via the couple of tricks available). I've been playing it over 3G unrestrictor for a jailbroken phone because I'm away at the moment. (ps it plays fairly well for me on 3g and im in australia playing on the American server!). I've also used a data monitoring app to show what the usage is like. It looks like it's around 1mb a minute at least!! Possibly more. That to me is quite a bit.
