Anyone have advice for the forced PVP areas in Arkan's Field, Swamp of Wyrms? A couple of times now I've either been PVP attacked during a fight with a mob, or a mob snuck up behind me in a PVP battle without me seeing it. In both cases the mob made the final blow and I ended up losing 36 silver. I _think_ that if you lose a PVP then you are not penalised money (?), but I've seen a lot of people hanging around that area just trying to cause other players to lose money by attacking in this way. The griefers that got me were both about 4 levels higher, and even though I managed to win the "duel", I still got munched by the mob. So currently I only have one quest to kill crocs in the PVP area, which is not very inviting because losing 36 silver to a PVP griefer isn't much fun. I headed out to Port Verecy but the mob levels were a lot higher than my 24 there and there were no active quests. Plus I've not got to Wyrgast's Library due to the PVP zone. _Probably_ (because it just makes the game not fun) the PVP griefing should be considered a bug. I mean, I'm not totally against PVP in a game, but I think you should be able to opt out (ie. not visit that area). The PVP griefers hanging around the graveyards and spamming attacks the moment you spawn also suck. But at least that doesn't lose you cash. Anyway, I was wondering where the questing goes past the Glimmermoor quests: a mad dash to the Library past the griefers? Or a couple of levels of grinding so I can head down to the Port? Oh, also, anyone worked out whether you money you lose on dying is related to your cash or some other factor. Because if it's a percent of cash then I might just mail all my cash to my alt sat at the AH. That would be one solution to the PVP grief.
Ganking in PvP zones is the nature of the beast. Don't even get me started on Stranglethorn Valley in WoW. Funtimes.
My Monk alt is ONLY used for Auctions, so I send money to her for auctions and will use her as a bank too when my other 2 characters reaches level 11
According to the ingame app of Gameloft Live one hour ago there were approximately 750 players online playing O&C Online. Does this figure concerns all servers in Europe, USA and Asia? I would expect a higher figure to be honest
No solid knowledge here, but my guess is that is is FAR from as deep or vast. But still deep and vast enough to amaze, and offer depth and vastness far beyond most other iOS titles.
It's not that big. Maybe a fourth of it. There are about 7 or 8 zones, unless the map can be zoomed out even further.
I have been trying to send money and items to my other characters but I cant. Do they need to be on the same server? I have over 87 gold that I want to pass on and I cant.
I'm not positive, but most games have restrictions that you can't send items across servers. Sorry for that.
Very useful info. I am always careful to log out, but in the event that I don't, good to know there is a solution, great post!
I had actually a smilar issue. I just logged out and then back in on the same device and it fixed it.
Confirmed. You can't mail across servers. It will not recognize the name - or worse, if there is someone with that name on your server they will get your stuff -Greg
Are there only the three ranks in a guild? Guild Master and then the entry and extra? Also, what is needed to invite others into the guild?
Worse case scenario, you work on the repeatable quests until you are high enough level to obtain or complete the other quests in the area outside of the pvp zone. Once you're a higher level, they will generally leave you alone in the PvP zones OR you will kill them outright. Win Win either way. Here's what I did...Use the teleporters! You can skip the PVP zone and avoid being PvP flagged by porting from Glimmer to either Misk or Library. The vast majority of the quests in the Swamp actually DON'T require you to be in the PvP zone, so it's generally easy enough to avoid then with a little bit of silver. Sometimes those same mobs are found in a few other spots as well, and all of the 3 repeatable quests items are obtainable anywhere. I honestly spent only a small portion of my time in Arkan's field.
Are there any pictures of what the panda pet you can buy for runes looks like? I haven't come across one and while I am interested in maybe getting one, I really want to see what it looks like first
I hope gameloft implant some instances at least at high level, it's 1) something else to do 2) you need to party up otherwise its slow and risky, and 3)boss at the end with a chance to get a rare drop. I'm level 19 right now and there is still lots to do but I hope we get to instance end game at least.
Good stuff. Like the comment a couple posts up, I would like to see a Pets section with images of each (including the drop ones).
