I'm still observing the guilds on Tear Coast to decide which one I will join. One thing is for certain is whichever guild's member(s) decide to gank me while I'm minding my own business questing in the southern Whispering Isles, Eristar Ruins or some such, that will be the one I *DON'T* join. I don't want to PvP and I am a bit tired of grinding (though I did it entirely from 33 to 34). Seems like at least half of my current quests are in the PvP area of the Whispering Isles. Gameloft should consider removing the PvP flag from world zones once they have the arenas in place, or create a new PvP server. Also, guilds mis-advertise saying how many members they have, when they should say that is how many characters they have. Many people have alts, and that gets included in the number. How many active players would be something I would be interested in knowing. How many do you see online at any one time...
Chances are there isnt enough master sergeants items to really be overly confusing, but if memory serves I think the missing word is 'Symbol'
The issue isn't so much that there might be more than 1 type of this item. It's more so that there are several formulas where it's not possible to read the full item names of required ingredients. Thats not a problem after you encounter whichever item it is once, but for the first time it makes it a bit more aggravating then it needs to be if you havn't already seen that item.
Took a break from my military monk and rolled a ranger assassin. Its a very interesting class, and I can't believe you get the benefits of a rogue, with the range of a hunter. My monk may be on hold for a while, this class is slippery, and thats one aspect I love in the classes I play.
True. I make our guild roster visible to the public at all times on our site, clearly listing who's an alt, etc. That way they people can see for themselves. Then we keep about half of the forums and forum "live" chat only viewable by registered members. But I agree, a lot of people "misrepresent" their guild count. You have some valid points, I hope you find the guild that's right for you!
I hope they offer a server transfer at some point. Sadly, I think I want off of Arcadia...But I'm almost level 18 and have played for nearly 15 hours already. On top of that, I have extra bag space and some nice world drops I don't want to lose. C'mon Gameloft! *crosses fingers*
I'm with you on that one. Though by the time they offer that the population might be thinned out so questing won't be as much of a pain.
Haha you know the exact reason I want off! It's not too terrible, but some of those damned quests...Waiting 25 minutes to TRY and complete a quest while waiting for an NPC to respawn with 10 other people waiting. Nobody grouping to try and get it done together doesn't help either. I've skipped a hand full of quests already because of the issues with it - the bandage wounded soldiers one, Tommy (escort in the spider area), and the one where you have to do SOMETHING with 3 NPC's in the towns (near a fountain). I just don't have the patience to battle for an NPC tag. I guess if I were to find complaints about the game, it's the spawn rates/locations and the NPC quest issues. They literally have direct spawn points versus spawn zones, so spawn camping is ridiculous. NPC issues (see above).
Hey guys I have a 1gb data plan and I was wondering why I can't play this outside my own home. Is it ONLY wifi that works? If not, how can I fix this? Thanks.
You can play it over 3G if you A) Jailbreak your device and B) Install 3G unrestrictor or My3G from Cydia
Made a quick website for me and my kids that has the different talent trees for all the classes on it with a description of each talent. For instance there is a page with all the skyfire talents listed with a description of each, and one for permafrost etc.. I plan on adding all the spells/abilities and crafting crap later. Anyway, it's here: http://www.9quad.com/wordpress/ I am not trying to direct traffic to the site, just posting it as a resource if you are trying to figure out builds. Maybe if i get bored enough I will try and make a talent calculator. anyway hopefully the info is helpful.
nice site. I'm not sure how you would do this, but if you go to something like this for wow it will all be on one screen and it'll be interactive. You click the talent then it goes up one and you can hover your mouse over it to see the ability. If you could integrate that into your site then that would be awesome!
Seriously nice looking! The problem we have understanding the talent trees is that there isnt enough info provided by gameloft, so you would need a lot of help to do a calculator. Mana cost, casting time, recharge time & changes with leveling are not presented. (The effect of one more talent point is visible, but without the other info its not enough.) Right now, only a high level in a particular class can tell you if your build makes sense. For example, the permafrost skill Rock Shards goes from a 5 cooldown to a 15 cooldown at level 2. Things like that can really screw up your plans
Yes, I am aware of that problem and the lack of information. I sent emails to the PR department at gameloft to see if I can get a manual or press kit or anything with any kind of information. IMO they kind of dropped the ball in this area because you know how much people love to sweat the details in MMO's whether they are min/maxing builds or just goofing around they want to know everything. Gameloft gave us no info at all which is really shortsighted.
Bleugh. My iPod touch screen cracked. The unit works fine, but it's annoying to play. Guess I will be far behind by the time it's fixed.
I doubt this would work but I'm willing to listen to an explanation of how this would work. I don't have hot spot enabled on my phone bc I think I would have to drop my unlimited data plan to enable it, so I can't try it personally. I can't imagine you can set up a hotspot and then connect to it through the wifi connection on the same phone sharing the connection. I could very well be wrong though.
