hey do you need to have itunes 8.2 installed to update to 3.0? I use 8.0.35 because my ipod touch doesnt like 8.1 and 8.2
Im ON my ipod touch,do I have to backup all the apps and then upgrade or its ok to go ahead with no backup and will get back to as Is before with new features of course.!!
does anyone know exactly how much extra room it will take up and if I am planning to buy a 32 gb 3rd gen iTouch should I wait
You tap anywhere so that the cursor starts flashing if it doesn't already, and then when you tap again a toolbar appears with the menu options. When you tap another time, the toolbar is gone. (So tapping on the screen simply toggles the toolbar.)
i can do it in e-mails only, not on the web. how can i paste, i tap, and double tap, but it only gives me an option to select or select all
Ah, I had only tried it in the Notes app, not on the web. If you tap-and-hold a word on a website (in an area where you can't type, for example when you're reading an article on a blog), you should get it selected. It will have a grey highlight and two blue dots at the corners so that you can make the selection area smaller or larger. Then you can copy that selection. And then if I go to an area where I can type, I simply tap that area to open the keyboard, and then when I tap again I get the toolbar where I can select Paste.
Can someone confirm this? That would be a good reason for me to upgrade, but for the moment, I'm holding off. All the new features basicaly just drain the battery faster
They need to stop charging for software updates - seriously. What a joke, I bought a Gen1 Touch and this is the third time I've had to drop money on this. Honestly, I buy Windows Vista and Microsoft don't charge me with each new service pack. It's just as well Apple's hardware is top of the class.
I agree. I've spent £20 on updates so far and with the 2.0 update they gave away the first one free! So I was down an unneccessary £15. I may wait 'til the next big update to get it free.
