      I've been hesitating to upgrade my touch to the 3+ OS, mostly because one glance at the Apple support forums shows a pretty large amount of people who are having some pretty bad problems with it (and by "it" I mean the various incarnations of the OS past 3.0, but mostly it would be the 3.1.2 now). From sound not working, to with this latest one, the iPod getting continuously wiped of memory.

      I realize that these are probably the exception, and of course with a support forum you are going to have people saying "OMG HELP NOT WORKING!!" and not "This works great!", but what have been some people's experiences here with it?
      (For "it" see definition above).

      I don't want to upgrade, there's really not that much motivation either, I mean, not many of the features look all that exciting, I would only upgrade for compatibility issues with future apps.

      Someone told me that as of today, Apple now allows Canadian users with gift cards to use the credits to buy apps. Is this true? I can't find a shred of info on this. Would be nice, as I have 50 in my itunes account that is rotting. I don't buy movies, music. Only games. And if it is true, do I need to update to 3.1.2? I have an itouch, so I don't need the update.
