Idk about the new artwork. I really loved the original, it had an old serial comicbook feel. Rather than new artwork, I would have preferred some animations and make the game less static.
I understand some players would like to keep the original version "alive". Me too! But as we have entirely re-built the game in a new engine, it will be additional development to have the possibility to switch between both versions. So, as we want to release ΩE as soon as possible, this option won't be available at launch. We are thinking about others alternatives and I will update you on this matter.
Looks great! I got this game the day it came out! I was not expedcting any real big updates for this one so very surprised, haven't played it in a couple months so off to do that now. Big thanks to the devs for this gem.

Mi-Clos, is there any chance you could make it more "adventure and exploration to discover new things and wonders in space with some risk" and less "punish the player for straying off his goal to reach a point for an ending" ? I played it, loved it, finished it, but in every choice presented to me "go into a black hole, or chase a strange light, or go into a station etc" i was being punished with hull damage, loss of fuel or oxygen. So in order to finish the game i made the most conservative choices, going from star A to star B, until i reached the endings. But i felt i was leaving behind all the wondrous encounters in space. Could this change in Omega edition? I hope you understand what i am asking the way i write it. Maybe more wondrous encounters with some lower risk to the player for more exploration?
Way excited for this update! I've yet to win at the original game. This will give me motivation to give it another go of it.
You're basically asking for a whole different game. Which might be interesting but would require to change the whole balancing and mechanics. Omega Edition is meant to enhance the experience while keeping the original gameplay intact. But maybe, in the future, we could think about different exploration modes.

I don't think it's necessary to change the play balance that drastic.Once you find all endings,you can still replay and find more"mysteries" instead of playing straight through. I wanted to ask about the release date but already saw the info.Really looking forward!But after searching for the thread again it's worth at least to give it a bump
I spent many hours on the original version of this game, it was great. Glad to see support for it is ongoing, and that you guys are offering this for free to people who have the original!
