Fight scary creatures, rescue stranded survivors, and scavenge for supplies like fuel, first aid kits, and weapons. Decide where to go next, whether it's upgrading this wrecked car, or rescuing that dog. Just remember, there are consequences for every action. Get ready for close calls, dramatic escapes, hard choices, arguing about whether or not that dog gets rescued, and the end of the world. Features: - Always keep fuel in the tank. Stay away from the creatures. Be careful. Be quiet. - Loud sounds attract trouble, and there's no way you can fight them all. Grab as much gas as you can, rescue that trapped stranger, and get back in the car before it's too late. - Travel West, through grasslands, over mountains, across deserts, and to even stranger places. Every level, roadmap, and character is randomly generated, so each trip is new. - Equip dozens of items, including medkits, shields, axes, potted plants, scavenged armor, and luggage racks. - A completely new end of the world from Finji (Canabalt, Night in the Woods). The four places I visited so far I could hardly search or loot anything because it’s surrounded by monsters that I can’t fight or do anything to? Besides run over with my car which damages the car. I’ll still give it more time though as I know I’m new to it and don’t really know how it’s suppose to play yet but I guess just get as far as you can in each run it sounds like? macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #3 macplash, Sep 21, 2019 I've been a fan of this game since I saw a first screenshot sometimes back in 2014.. I just loved the art and visuals from that moment. When I realized it's on the Apple Arcade's list I couldn't believe it's being finally released and the wait is over. It was my No.1 game to try when it's live. Now, with less than 4 days to go I find out after all these years it's gonna be turn-based xcom style game. I mean, imagine my disappointment. If there's anything I hate about mobile gaming it's F2P model and turn-based combat. I mean, I like chess and other board games with turn-based strategy. Hell, I love the whole GO series like Hitman, Deus-Ex or Lara Croft. I even liked Frozen Synapse series. But there's something seriously off-putting about x-com to me. Dunno what it is, I just can't stand it So I guess, there goes Overland. It's weird because the iPad version lets you change their size, but not the iPhone version -- even though that option would be most useful for iPhone. The combination of that issue and the overall dreariness of the story is making it very difficult for me to keep going. Lull4by Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 767 313 63 #6 Lull4by, Oct 1, 2019 The game works really well on my iPad Pro, I have to admit that the game is hard to play on my iPhoneX. (the most annoying part is not small texts/buttons actually, the biggest problem is, my iPhoneX is nearly burning after few minutes gameplay.) Since the game is just the first version, hope the developer can update it later to fix those problems, especially for phone players. Pitta and Ser Dirtnap like this.
