Now that the browser-based JailbreakMe has been released, there seem to have been a wave of people daring to go into Apple stores and jailbreak the stores' iPhones. I thought the irony was quite amusing. Also, Google fans are putting Android-themed wallpapers onto iPads in Apple stores. E.g. http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/iphone-4-jailbreak-done-in-apple-store-2010083/
Hahaha, I knew this would happen sometime or another. I bet it's driving the Apple workers crazy. They'll probably find a way to block the site sometime.
I did the iPhone 4s and a bunch of ipads at Yorkdale Mall, 10 minutes. Then some "genius" noticed they were all on the purple screen and I had to slip out. It's called the #jailbreak_game.
lol, reminds of when me and a large group of my friends walked into an Apple store and simultaneously rick roll'd their macs. Some of them were connected to speakers too, so the song played out loud
Yep, blocked. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Apple-Blocks-JailbreakMe-com-on-Its-Own-Turf-150962.shtml
on engadget they had some comments from apple employs who are jail breaking them out of bordem heh. chris.
Meh, old trick. People were doing that at Apple stores with the very first public jailbreak -- also at jailbreakme.com.
I did that with an iPhone 4 and one iPad. It was quite fun, then Apple has to be go be a party pooper and block jailbreakme.com :/
i still have not jailbreak my ipod.. when i get my gen 4 touch.. ill jailbreak my gen 2 just to see whats its like. chris.
Haha I'm gonna run down to the apple store to see if they've blocked it. If not I think I'll do a quick hit and run
what i find interesting is all these tech blogs are using titles like "now its legal" then goeso on to show them how to jailbreak there apple products.. i thought it was always legal.. im sure jobs is not to happy. chris. still not to happy with my battery performance from iso4.. you fail apple ( def learn my lesson here.. will not be the first to jump on upgrade iso ever again.. till after a few weeks.. ).. and of course reports of random rebooting of 3gs phones..
It was legal. The whole legalizing thing really doesn't make much difference, it just means Apple can't sue you for it or prevent dissemination of jailbreaking on forums and such. Not that they ever would.
Someone should make a modified version of a keyboard cat with steve jobs before it, and have it play simultaneously On youtube theres a video of a guy jailbreaking an iPhone with a computer, its quite funny
