I always say, games before kids, dude ... Just kidding. Three daughters here, understand... Woah woah woah... If I had one more daughter, I could have the four sisses... They could start up their OWN game design company, mwahahahahaha!
aww man sorry to hear that! Now I feel like a dick. Hope they get better I know how it goes with that. Thanks for the update now I'm even more excited. So you get graded after battles based on what ? Is it hard and how are the controls ???
Not sure how the promo code thing works ( never tried winning stuff lol) but i do sure know im ready for this game been replaying the MMBN series , *cracks my neck* lets do this ~! Good job on all the hard work FoursakenMedia
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of drawing today! We have been and are going to be scrambling the next week to get our games iOS 8 ready... normally this wouldn't be an issue (as new OS's have never really changed much in terms of the technical side of most games), but it turns out iOS 8 basically completed ruins the performance of every single one of our games >_< Its not an actual error on our part, its just they changed the way something works, which affects the way we did something in our engine (again, its not right or wrong - just different). In other words we're working overtime to try to get every game updated before next Wed, which is now quite a few games (it takes several hours per game to test, update and submit)... its totally our fault for being slow on this, but none-the-less we've got to get this fixed up. So again, sorry about the lack of drawing! I'll try to stop by afternoon tomorrow and do 2 drawings... and of course Phantom Rift will be hitting the App Store late tomorrow as well!
@luckystrikeguy If its like the MMBN series you get rated for how well you kill your foes , and mainly the speed like for an example rank goes from ( lv 1 -lv 10 and S rank being the highest) lv 1 is beginner ranks unless youre a beast o_o but usually the higher rank you get you kinda get rewarded money items ( probably spell) its a really fun system makes you want to figure and plan ahead how you can take out people in one turn ( this is my experience from megaman battle network ) hope that helped lol im just speculating the game is similar battle system wise
@FoursakenMedia Sorry to hear that dude ! D: hope everything goes well ! the struggle of programming and ios updates are real and yay more promo codes! haha either im looking forward to it
That is indeed how it works here, thanks for explaining it You have a chance to earn spells (different enemies give different spells) and extra currency for getting a high battle rating, which is all about speed and efficiency and not getting hit. On the flip side, if you don't get high battle ratings, it doesn't really matter much (in that it doesn't actually hinder you) - its just like a fun little extra. Haha thanks... we're stressed but we'll get it done
Sounds like a lot of work to do and it's a shame about the draw, but about 20 hours until it hits the UK now. Although I'll be in work and unable to download on 4g so hopefully I'll still be lucky and get it before work! So the rewards with battles like spells and loot do you have to get higher ranks to get the best stuff? Is the amount you get extra massive or just a little bonus?
So yes as he explained the battles are rated from 1-10. 1 being the lowest, at 10 you get a chance for extra spells and extra "energy". No, not like timer energy haha, energy used for various things out of battle (; But you have a chance to get spells in any battle. I got a 6 and still got a spell once. The ground as you can see in the demo rises as you walk. It's very cool what they did to make this a fun experience as there are sometimes paths that you must "walk the edge" to discover and go find fun lootie stuffs. It'll all make more sense when you play. Also the map is interactive in a way as you will see and there are "friends" to help you on your way. The battles are very fast paced and on your toes. You pick your spells at the beginning of the battle and then at intervals throughout the battle. You can discard spells or choose to keep and use them. Your choice, but you have 30 you bring into battle of your choosing (a deck if you will) as you find more you can sub out ones you don't want and so on. So there's a TON of strategy in that as each spell costs a different amount of energy to cast. You can usually bring in per spell selection one to three spells (depending on choice an cost) and you get to play those one time each, all the while auto attacking and dodging your foes. Like I said fast pace and very lively (;
Thanks for the deets kender! Pretty interesting how FM has you under a code of confidentiality.... but i think that's quite nice this time around Best of luck to your kids (and to you!) And wow FM, looks like you've gotten yourself into quite the monster sized adventure! Best wishes to you guys with working like a mad chef, I know you can be heroes and get those games through the rift and to that Apple castle!
@FoursakenMedia No problem I'm a huge MMBN fan so i figured thats how your system worked as well lol and it really is fun just looking at your battle field while choosing what spells you can use thinking about the different scenarios playing out in your head before you even begin the battle seeing if you can take all them out in 1 phase lol fun stuff I'm really hyped thanks for making a game based off the series i hope this one does well so we can look forward to a Phantom Rift 2 ( or the next unique name it gets "
Just to check a few things if anyone can help. This is an offline game right? Is game progress saved by log in account or Game Center or Facebook? I will change to iPhone 6 soon so I will need to know this urgently. Can a cash player blew cash and get all the legendaries? Any level limit? Any map limit? 40 maps? Is there a story ending ?
Yes, it can be played offline. There is iCloud saves. You cannot pay money to get all the best weapons, only to get more currency. Even then the best equipment can only be found by playing. I'm unsure about this one, but if I recall correctly there's no limit... And I don't think there's a "map limit" per say, because you walk around a big overworld like pokemon, then enter a closed off arena when you enter a battle
Will the draw be done soon? Leaving for work in 4 hours and hoping it's before then! If I'm lucky I can play it on my breaks at work but if I'm not I'll have to wait until I get home : (
