I know its been just a week.... I meant in general, discussion on Foursaken games has died down. I really am not interested in many other games, I am STILL discovering new strats and things in Block Fortress, unlocking Bug Heroes in BH2... Guess I'm just slow in my old age This game def looks to have some long-term replayability, with all of the unlockables and spells to mix and match effects... good stuff!
yeah not much is being discussed anymore.... Its a shame cause I still play bug heroes 2 at least once a week and for awhile too..... oh well. This game looks awesome and hope to see new stuff soon. Foursaken said awhile ago they were working on two games. I wonder the other one is... I'm hoping for a space FPS with great story! That would be awesome. Or just any game by them in space. You guys have any ideas?
Hey guys, sorry for no recent news - not much we can show off quite yet! I can say Phantom Rift gameplay is pretty much finished, just have UI, effects and polish to go... unfortunately bc of those things we can't really show off much right now >_< But don't worry, this is just the calm before the storm We do indeed have 3 projects which should be hitting in relatively quick succession (Phantom Rift being the only one we've officially announced yet).
wow you guys are so amazing! 3?!?!?! Thats so awesome! When will they be announced? I want to mark my calender!
I'm not exactly sure how the gameplay will turn out, but I trust the fellas at Foursaken to make it work
Yeah, but they'll drop it like its hot soon enough. Three games. And probably already brainstorming the next round.... This game alone looks like it will have so much going for it... Is Bastion that amazing, though? How long of a game is it? I've thought a out picking it up just to familiarize myself with the game style... Finally, Bug Heroes 3 idea: Full-on RTS + MOBA + Crafting. Have a bug genre you pick (ants, spiders, fliers, etc.) then your base you build is much like BF:W, only one unit... but you can equip and change what units will be produced with preset outfits + some vehicles. So, a sniper ant, or a bulldozer driving slug... then, you can find batteries, sticks, electrical wire, etc. that after you loot during a missin, can build a billion varieties of items, buildings, etc.... with always the heroes aspect, where you play as a singular unit and just give directions from a "overseer" view or something...
Truly, truly great guys and great games. Still load up Bug Heroes 1. I prefer it in many ways to 2... but that's like saying a Sprinkled Donut is better than a Blueberry Cake Donut; both are epic, but a Sprinkled Donut is a little more epic-er So, looking at the screenshots and it says "randomly generated dungeons," is this going to be Monster Adventures-random where you go from Zelda-like dungeon room to the next or something different I wonder? I don't feel like the screenshots capture the mechanics well... and will they be leveled, like a dungeon crawler? Glad they are focusing on single player, too, plus running into other players' wizards will be kind of cool... hopefully, we can name them correctly so I know when I'm pummeling JCho's wizard or any of you ther shmucks
Don't take that as a bad thing! It just means we're working that much harder to get it out (not going to cut corners though )! With over 150 spells, there's a ton of effects we have to hand craft, so thats where the bulk of the time is going now. Unfortunately without effects we can't show video or "in action" screens, so thats basically where the lack of news is coming from. Haha, we're always brainstorming game ideas, but yes we do have the other 2 games which we haven't announced yet as well (they're not cutting into any one game's dev time, btw - we've got different "teams" working on different games). We're super excited for all three, and all I can say is that they're closer than you might think! The dungeons are not area based like MA... its more "mazy" with lots of hidden treasure, etc. Battles are random encounters, more like a traditional RPG. Each dungeon is leveled, indeed like a dungeon crawler, and there are 6 total "dungeons." In between dungeons there is a world map that you can explore, talk to different beings, visit shops, etc. There are actually a ton of secrets on the world map as well, from hidden passages, to trading with NPCs, to special side quests, to some other super secrets I cant divulge Btw, don't forget the comparisons (with Bastion, esp), are just very general ones
Ok Foursaken Looking forward to Phantom Rift. Ready to explore and customize my Mage. Ready for it! Also, Enough with the winks, winks and the nudges, nudges. I saw the Facebook post, where some dude asked about it... Tormenting little We all KNOW Heroes & Castles II is one of the these new games and someone should just start the forum thread here in Upcoming Games so we can speculate. Or you guys just post an obscure, blurry photo to set us ablaze with theories and wonder. No idea about the third... A solitare/TD game? A DooM/Mario Paint mashup? Retro/racing/music platform/Card collecting/zombie mashup? Are you going to release all three like within a month of each other or something?
Can't quite comment on the other games yet haha Seriously though, right now we're really excited about Phantom Rift - its turning out to be a pretty big game with tons of characters to talk to, story to uncover, world to explore, etc. Really hoping to get a trailer out pretty soon and announce a release date!
Oh absolutely, looks fantastic... Definitely great concept. Just stirring it up here! Phantom Rift looks like it can be a major time investment... Are there different towns or just random npc wandering the rift? Be cool to have some trading opportunities with other plAyers mages if you stumble upon them
