Actually the swords are very rare and special in Phantom Rift... and yes, they are magic swords. I believe they have a "long sword" attack, which attacks 2 tiles forward, as well as charge up abilities. In general though, basic attacks are pretty weak and meant to chip away an enemy's health while you wait to charge up for spells, which are usually significantly more powerful than a basic attack. As for melee, there are a ton of support spells that allow melee focuses wizards to dish out a ton of damage more efficiently. Things like tile steal (allows you to walk on an enemy tile), jumps, magnet attacks, etc.
Hi, Foursaken Media I just wanted to give you a big "thank you" for the greatest IOS games I have ever played. Every game of you feels unique, creative, and always fair. You are one of the few developers which CARE about their customers, and I don't know what IOS would be without your games. Developers with fair pricing, that's rare on this platform. I've sinked countless hours in BF:War and I've collected 480 Stars in Bug Heroes 2, and I am still playing these games. Then there is Bug Heroes, Bug Heroes Quest and N.Y. zombies, which are also great games, and Heroes and Castles, that I also played long. And now you come up with 3 more games, which will I will be enjoying every moment with. Please keep up your work. Thank you a thousand times, Foursaken Media.
This is looking awesome. I'm getting more hyped every day. @Foursaken: Do you think you could elaborate on the controls a little more? I loved the Battle Network series and how those games controlled via d-pad and attack buttons. From what little combat there was in the trailer, I'm guessing you guys are going for a more direct "tap where you want to move" approach (which I fear might prove difficult for some advanced battle moves like in Battle Network). Could you confirm this or or comment on what control style(s?) you are implementing? Thanks a lot in advance, I'm really looking forward to your game.
I am looking foward to trying this game but the controls can change a lot on if the person like the game or not so I do hope that the controls are good.
CatoSicarius, etc., Foursaken Media makes the best. I enjoy gaming as much as I can with two jobs, a Masters, family, etc. and have limited time to play. I will delete other games before I ever remove Bug Heroes 1. I DON'T have Bug Heroes Quest still on there, but that is because I beat it already Phantom Rift is definitely a new direction; I hope it does gangbusters. It is a quality looking game with many cool ideas meshed together. Hope it turns out well. Between it, new IP #2 and Heroes & Castles II (yes, TBA, but seriously haha! ) it is fun to watch these bros continue to grow and develop as a company and producer. Best of luck and many more years of mobile gaming on my iPad13 or whatever we are playing in 5 years ha!!
Is there an invisble dpad or is it swipe controls in battle? I hope a couple of options... I'm not much of a swipe control guy myself.... The way the mage is going in between battles looks definitely like a dpad.
Is there a release date on the project or some beta testing going on? (Sry I'm just really hyped about this >_<)
@Foursaken_Media Anything new about this? One question: how can I get one of the beta keys you mentioned before?
Can't wait guys. Hope all is going as planned. I know you'll were pretty close a week or two ago. What's the status now looking like? Can't wait to crank out on another one of you'll's games guys! Keep up the greatness!
You can't ask for a beta key but(Don't quote me on this)I think Foursaken Media said that they will sending out pre-release codes to the most active members in this thread. Honestly, I can tell that I won't getting one since I am not that active on this tread but that does not mean I don't get excited when a Foursaken Media has a new game being cranked out.
