Sounding like it'll be pretty strategic then with that post and the mention of all the spells ect so I hope there are a lot of strategy and play style options.

Interested to see how the MP works out too because it does sound like it'll be exciting when it happens rather than being expected.

Do you have any more info as to the frequency it may happen or is it random or dependant on people online ect? Also does it match similarly powered people?

  4. I think the buzz will rise the closer we get to release.

I don't suppose it'll run on iPod 4th generation? The block fortress games run fine on it...

i wonder if you will be able to upgrade the movement speed during battles like you could in megaman battle network I'm seriously interested in this game since i played most of the battle network series lol so i see a TON of reference from the series in this game :) and for the movement during battle ( looks alright now ) but do you guys think it would be cooler with more of a kinda teleport effect? like the movement animation like for an example MBN had kinda like a dbz teleport style maybe you guys could make a semi teleport magic orientated animation when moving around the battle field ( nothing to flashy ) but the attack animations and everything looks awesome :) sorry for sounding so critical just throwing out suggestions! ( hopefully if this game goes well it can become part of a series for you guys which would be awesome :D )

Can we choose the look of our character (haitcolour, hairstyle, face etc.) or is the only way to change the look of our wizard the use of items?

What kind of currency will be implemented in the game? Is there a real world setting like in the original battle network games where you can speak to people or travel to the phantom rift?

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of responses, we were out of town for the week - but we're still on track and we're looking to finish up Phantom Rift and submit it by the end of the week!

Thank you very much for the kind words! Posts like this and all the support many of the TA members definitely keeps us pushing forward :)

Definitely not tap to move. The controls are basically an invisible dpad. You can also swipe to move in any direction. We've put a lot of time into making sure they're as precise and fast as possible.

Not really beta codes, just re-release promo codes once its approved. We haven't quite figured out how we're going to handle it - last time we did a random draw with anyone who has posted in the thread. We'll definitely announce more details when we're ready!

Multiplayer battles won't ever be a spam... they're relatively rare and only happen in the overworld. Since battles are mostly skill based, there is no special match-making. Plus, since there is no penalty for losing, we want players to have the chance to snag some more unique/better spells by beating higher level wizards.

Should run on iPod 4, though I can't promise a flawless frame rate... should have more news on this once we finish the final round of optimizations this week.

Still working on final polish - a subtle teleport effect being one of them! Its a bit trickier then you might think making it cool, but super subtle... hopefully we'll get something.

You can choose skin and hair color, as well as gender.

There is one currency: energy, used to buy spells, equipment, and activate artifacts that you find in the world. Spells and equipment are also found in treasure chests, and can be earned by completing side quests.

Wow submission that close already? :D

Is there a single ultimate item for each slot or we really just mix and match specializations to go with the spells we pick?

Ooo I didn't think it was that close already! Also interested to know about the question asked above. On if there's end game kind of gear like epic or legendary pieces or is it just random stat based and you pick what suits your play style best?

Sounds awesome ! yeah nothing to crazy lol i just always loved the smooth movement on the battle tap during battles in megaman battle network so i figured a subtle teleport movement when moving across the battle field would be awesome i used to remember when i played MBN a attack was close to hitting me and i move quickly to another square just barely dodging it it seemed as if i teleported lol brings back memories :D and never knew a movement effect is so hard to do :0 good luck and I'm totally looking forward to the game and polish as well :)

There isn't a single ultimate item really, but there are a few super powerful pieces of equipment you can find. The Rune Swords for ex are all especially powerful (and especially hard to get!), and you'll find a few other unique epic items throughout the game. Aside from those, there are the 5 levels of "ordinary" equipment you can find and buy in the equipment shop, from common to legendary.

Generally though, we wanted players to have the freedom to build their mage in as many ways as possible (looks, stats, spells), so the equipment randomization is very important!

I saw someone mention you guys are working on other projects as well...is this true? :O
If it isn't super-secret confidential need-to-know-basis stuff, can someone please fill me in?

I think they are working on 3 different projects, but this is the only one we have info about.
