So funny. Especially if you understand Czech. Assuming it’s in native czech language for everyone, but I guess so. On the other hand this is the contender for the shortest game in Apple Arcade’s lineup. I finished it in 30 minutes give or take? Considering previous game’s from this studio like Machinarium or Chuchel, this is seriously an underachievement. I admit I didn’t unlock all the cards (meaning achievements), but it’s incredibly short nevertheless. I made complaints about length (or its lack of to be more specific) of other games from AA list like Assemble with care or Possessions, but in comparison with Pilgrims they’re absolutely fine. Still, I’ll play Pilgrims once again, just for its fun art and hilarious sound and voice acting. It’s not gonna take a lot of my time, obviously. weipeng likes this. kozz84 Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2012 140 21 18 #3 kozz84, Oct 6, 2019 Last edited: Oct 6, 2019 It’s a micro game. I missed a lot of the achievement cards and I guess that is where the dev would think replays would happen so as to extend the length of the game. But while I did enjoy the hour I spent playing, strangely I have absolutely no compulsion at all to replay to try and get all the achievements. And as a little tip I did not realise till late in the game; Tap on unturned cards to get an idea of what you need to do to get all the achievements in the proper order. It seems at first that you only have 1 way to deal with each person but when I looked at all the cards, it seems that there are many ways to achieve victory. For instance, for the princess/king quest, by looking at the cards I guess that you can either be the king, marry the princess, let the princess be queen or give her to the monster. As many cards are reusable and different companions have different interactions with other NPCs, there is a big branching decision tree to explore. Still, the ending seems to always be the same one. But as a popular phrase states: "It is not about the destination, it is about the journey" In a sense, I consider it as GC challenges aimed at completionists. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #6 orangecan, Oct 15, 2019 Just finished this, absolutely loved it for what it was and enjoyed it tremendously but as StubbieOz says I also had no desire to replay it. I did get stupidly stuck for a while because I’d completely missed a location on the map though which annoyed me tremendously (my fault not the game). aricall Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 226 2 18 Tattooist #7 aricall, Oct 16, 2019 Loved the game and art style. Lots of fun but very short. Eventually I could see trying to unlock more card endings. I’d love to see an update with more stuff to do. Great game on Apple Arcade tho I think. Too simple and yet too random at the same time, perhaps. If you enjoyed this, I can heartily recommend their other games: Machinarium, the Samorost trilogy, and Botanicula. All are incredible.
