Didnt this game just release last week? Kotovsky Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 509 0 16 #3 Kotovsky, Aug 20, 2013 I really can't understand why i've bought it for full price day earlier. Looks like the sale numbers of this game sucks badly. oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #4 oooooomonkey, Aug 20, 2013 Yes sir, I remember brad talking about it on the postcast. I'm sure they said it was pretty cool. Might pick it up for that price, but on the other hand with a price drop so soon it might go free? Bronxsta Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 4,698 7 38 http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/ #5 Bronxsta, Aug 20, 2013 Price drops because of sales, I understand. But not less than a week after the game comes out. That's like a big F.U. to the people who did support the dev and bought their game when it released slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #6 slewis7, Aug 20, 2013 I feel bad for the developers. The game is clearly very high quality but I think they were tripped up by the release soon after a Kingdom Rush Frontiers sale and concurrent with the release of Plants vs. Zombies 2. Also, their initial price point was perhaps a bit high. The sale seemed inevitable to me. I hope it is enough to stop the game from fading into total obscurity. This seems like a no-brainer for $1. I can also understand early adopters being upset. I have been there too. I didnt get this because im not really a big fan of TD games, but i really wanted to. Glad i held back, but im really sad to hear the sales suffered. This game looks really high-quality, but as mentioned, KRF just went on sale, and PVZ provided the TD fix for almost every TD fan for free. Phoenix24 Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 7, 2012 312 0 0 Lancashire, England #9 Phoenix24, Aug 20, 2013 It is sad that the game came out when it did as other have said. I have been impressed with the quality of the game and also the fact that it is universal- where most of the big hitters in TD, KR, Bloons and FR are all separate apps. KR and KRF are good, but it gets expensive to have the games and heroes on 2 devices, so I really hope that this sale helps develop the next phase of this game. If you remotely liked any part of KR then you will love this one and yes....it's worth your buck WCFields Well-Known Member Dec 6, 2009 2,865 0 0 steel worker #10 WCFields, Aug 20, 2013 I wonder if the hero's/flying aces will drop in price also? Infinity89 Well-Known Member Apr 8, 2013 2,170 0 36 #11 Infinity89, Aug 20, 2013 Well as I expected. I'm glad I didn't pick. I had a guess it will go on sale but not so soon!!! casuallover Active Member May 13, 2011 41 0 0 #12 casuallover, Aug 20, 2013 It released the same day as PvZ2... it didn't have a prayer! I like the game and I'm not pissed I paid the full price but they better add lots of new levels for free Well worth the buck. mr_wexer Well-Known Member Mar 6, 2011 243 0 0 #13 mr_wexer, Aug 20, 2013 Totally agree its well worth a look for the price. The universal and cloud are a nice touch. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #14 awp69, Aug 20, 2013 Tempting to get this but size is also a factor with biggies like A8 coming this week. I fear this will just sit in the ever growing backlog. Definately feel for the early adopters. It's annoying when a game drops a buck this quickly but $3 is not cool at all. I'm sure it was bad timing for the release but don't think that's a good excuse to do this so quickly. matyou98 Well-Known Member Jun 18, 2012 293 3 18 #15 matyou98, Aug 20, 2013 Tower defense games are not my favorite but at this price its a no brainer. I bought to support, but it's kind of expected these days. Not sure why more will adopt the "intro sale" to introduce their games? One, you get gamers to try, second, having a price seems easier to swallow, from a consumer standpoint. Anyway, the implications are as for like many, will never forget what the Devs did, and will be cautious or avoid them all together, no threat, but stating what probably will happen when Devs do this, based on TA past posts. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #18 Royce, Aug 20, 2013 It's simple mathematics. Some early adopters will buy the game regardless of a sale or not. Games start to slip out of the charts after a couple of weeks and a sale then can help the game maintain a bit longer. I just laugh any more when people cry foul at this sort of stuff. Get over it. It is now, and has been for a while, the norm for the AppStore. This sale may have happened about a week earlier than usual, but who was seriously thinking it wouldn't happen some time soon? sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #19 sugimulm, Aug 20, 2013 First off, I need to clarify, I am not crying nor complaining, this happened way too many times to "cry foul". A question has me pondering, a new game in a crowded genre why not make an intro sale? Very little Devs think of this, why? Get the word out and let gamers provide the advertisement to promote the game. Ramifications will happen as many will get mad and not support Devs in their future releases, just stating, it's getting old for me. I want to help out but unlike you, not made of money to be a early adopter all the time, and the other factor, trust. When the Devs states, "not going to be on sale for awhile", then the price drop so soon, wouldn't you call that breaking trust? Just speaking my mind, there is no need for you to jump and rant about my post, especially coming from a veteran TA'er. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #20 Royce, Aug 20, 2013 It's certainly it right to say that and then have a sale shortly after, but they must be new to iOS to be stupid enough to say that. Any game that is over a buck at release will go on sale if sales aren't good enough, and it's pretty much guaranteed if it has a bunch of IAP. I was not attempting to jump on your post specifically or rant. I apologize if it came across that way. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
