Ya I know. I just want everything to match. Right now it looks like some super advanced ship was shrunk and fighting primitive bacteria...
Honestly i think you really shuld take a minute to figure out witch line of graphics you want to go with. One way is the old black background/stars/spacewhatever and just focus on polishing the creeps. Kinda the Radiant-way to approach this. I kinda like your idea with alternating worlds though but make only as much background as it free and simple to look at. The player will focus on the creeps and their shoots and where they all going, the background should just be soft eyecandy. Therefore dont make it all messy and annoying to look at, it just ruins the concentration from where the action takes place. And for gods sake, dont mess up the controls. Controls is one of those things that make or break a game. Many devs pay to little attention to this and just polishes games insanley and think players will be happy with that. These are the type of games a generally flush down the drain ASAP.
Good thing is, I'm just graphics. froggy 1233 is the dev, working his butt off. And I'm thinking of softening up the backround, and I will try to bring the monsters up to caliber with the ship... (And BTW, it's only the water and slime worlds that have crappy backgrounds right now... Here's the ice background: And I was thinking of having the monsters light blue and white. And we have officially added OpenFeint.
I just woke up and spent the last few minutes reading the last 10 pages or something. Yes, OpenFeint.
I have only one word for you man: Controls. Make em awesomly awesome and I actually might consider buying your game! And do convince the man in the graphixdepartment to stay off the crazy funky stuff, simple and soft gfx works best for these titles.
Then have a level with all inverted colors, and funky minions. It should be like a bonus level or something. You know another dimension overlord byte created.
We already have one secret world in the works. It requires something special to unlock it. Any guesses? (I'll consider that one aswell. )
go through all levels without getting damage? or how about beating the dev's score? thats right, im a madman, now see what i do with my gun when im angry eat bullets alien freak this isnt a remote, its your arm i smell flesh, nice rotting flesh
Nope. It's pretty simple, if you play the game properly you'll unlock it. Going through all the levels without damage is tough, I doubt that's possible, with the enemies getting tougher and faster and homing missiles from the boss... Beating the dev's score isn't it, although I'm sure I'll add both me and DGH94's score inside the game for you guys to beat.
