Plants Vs Zombies 2: It's about time (Popcap Games)

It seems like the F2P aspects will just make it easier, but it's disappointing to see that there will be pay-only plants (if the article is describing it correctly). That would serve as the "full game unlock" I suppose, but I don't like spending money to unlock content in a game when there are also other microtransactions. It seems like all the UI for using the F2P abilities will constantly clutter the screen, which is very annoying.

Doesn't sound too bad to be honest. We'll have to wait and see if it's true

I have no problem with F2P if it's truly like that.

My issues arise when I feel like I don't "own" the game no matter how many hours I put into it - case in point, RR3. I can have all the skill and hard work out into that thing, but in the end, it'll cost me around $500 to buy all the races and upgrades. Freaking ridiculous and downright greedy, I don't care how you try and justify it.

This and Dungeon Defenders II seem like they might help change my perception of F2P, here's hoping.

 

Basically OP dlc plants and cheats is what you can buy.

They say it's a PopCap game, but it's sad that so many of the original PopCap team has left. After that announcement, though, some of my hope in PvZ2 has been restored.

 

This is what im scared of. Even the example of a higher Starting amount of sun seems imbalanced, if it's at all possible to start without the bonus.

 

Popcap isn't dumb enough to ruin PvZ2 with poorly implemented F2P. I just wish they'd release it already !

 

PopCap may not be dumb enough, but someone else clearly takes that title (hint hint EA)

IMO the soul of the game left alongside George Fan!

 

The guy who thought of PvZ isn't even working on PvZ 2, plus ea bought out popcap so it's a 99% guaranteed screw up.

 

And not only that guy, as only 1 from the original team remains. That says something...

 

I wish they would spend some time on the old one and add widescreen for iphone 5 users.

its so sad to see that what happened to the great real racing series also happend to pvz. a bummer to see this for free. so I will probably test it until they bug me the first time with their stupid freemiumshit and get rid of it. I cant stand play pay play pay
