He's playing it on whatever generation iPod Touch PopCap gave him with the game loaded on it. Not sure exactly which type it is.
Hmmm, I'm going to need to check with him once more. I'll report back later... I know for a fact at least some mini games and a quickplay mode (which I assume is survival) are still part of the game, but not sure on the puzzle levels.
Quick play seems to be letting you play any level you have completed, which i something I have wanted in the computer game.
It might just be because the demo version was either: A) An early build (but I don't think so) B) The build didn't have adventure mode finished (maybe IGN specified otherwise, I didn't really look at the coverage yet).
wait, they can't take SURVIVAL mode out, can they? that's where all of the replay value was for me. i mean i like the campaign and all...but doesn't that mode seem like it should come standard with any TD?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that survival mode will still be in there but you never know . . . Never mind that, hopefully the version that hits the App Store will have survival mode.
yea, that ign review is pretty clear cut, but i'll buy the game anyways. the adventure modes long enough to shorten my commutes for months honestly. and quickplay will give me the replayability i expect from games i buy.
I'll be disappointed if they take out survival mode, but Plants Vs Zombies is going to be an instant buy for me nonetheless.
Ok, so there isn't a survival mode or a puzzle mode. But there are minigames and achievements, plus the full campaign. Quickplay allows you to choose any level.
the lack of survival mode is absolutely bizarre...but perhaps it is due to hardware limitations given that's when the game gets the most hectic and busy. apparently the game lags as it is on a 2g. ah well, of course it's an instant buy at 2.99 regardless.
Fantastic! Definitely buying for that price. Hope they add music to Peggle soon too. I can't play it without the music.
