Pretty much TA is probably the most reliable/informative iPhone gaming site, I mean if you Google a question about an iPhone game more than likely TouchArcade will pop up.
Even though TA is a gaming forum, there isn't anything close to it thats even comparable. So much activity and wealth of gaming knowledge that its beyond measure. There just isn't any recommendations to offer imo.

This is the best forum for iphone gaming news and discussion but if you want to discuss hardware I suggest everythingicafe.com. I think it's more relevant for iPad owners though (since everyone here as an ipod touch or iphone) because there's way less trolls there.

It's really not. Looking at it from the administrative point of view, the site will now focus on thousands more iPad viewers. iPad owners (the majority) aren't looking for gaming, rather to get good apps and/or hack/jailbreak it. Multitouch Fans is the perfect place for that, and being a regular member there, it's really improved lately with newer staff. Despite there being the odd one or two flame wars, or members with worryingly large egos, the place is a great on-the-spot news source. New members with iPads = more mature members = a better place.
