The controls are quite spot-on, but could use some more tweaking. Gameplay overall is fun and entertaining. Woud like a code to see what the full version has in store. rshkhsee Well-Known Member Feb 28, 2010 1,493 0 36 Blashyrkh #5 rshkhsee, Jul 1, 2010 Gimme a code MeF36 Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2010 87 0 0 electrician Gonzales, Louisiana #6 MeF36, Jul 1, 2010 Pretty cool game so far. Just like Punch Out except more awesome cause its always in your pocket. only on 2nd fight (Crazy Ivan). "I vill break him". I would like to see the game just a little less retro (pixelated) but it'll definitely keep me entertained gabemstr Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2010 64 0 0 California, U.S. #7 gabemstr, Jul 2, 2010 Just wrote a review on iTunes. it's via gabemstr. @MeF36, you can change it to non-retro looking in the options menu. This was changed for two reasons. 1. The game didn't get any front page love at TA when it was first released and ended up only visble in the AppStore via search results - people are far more likely to stumble across it searching for "boxing" than for "boxer." 2. Much to my horror, internet searches for "Pocket Boxer" turned up a lot of underwear websites. The retro mode didn't get introduced until 1.4. It's the default so people getting updates would actually notice it - important given than most people don't visit options screen nor do they read "what's new" descriptions. I really don't have any clue what most people would prefer. For the most part, I've only heard good things about the new retro mode, and suspect most people prefer the pixel art. Regarding multiplayer, I think anyone itching for head to head multiplayer or being able to play as any boxer will be pleased when Pocket Boxing II hits the AppStore later this year.
