Lots of suggestions here, thanks guys :)

Right now the concept is a mix between a sandbox game and a more adult and humorous version of Tamagotchi, plus some secret stuff i cant tell you about yet. You will be able to alter the appearance of your creature (cannot say how though :))

The game will also receive free updates after release where new content and features will be added, so don't stop coming up with ideas :D

You will be able to name your creature, but as with the game itself we haven't found a name for the Creature in general - its species if you will.

So if you have any suggestion what the species of the creature is called please tell me :)

I think you should make different versions of this app.
Each version with a different creature and everything should stay the same. The more expensive the app, the cooler looking creature.

What kind of name would you want ?
Something that appeals to Kids & Elders alike ?
Do you want to start of with some examples ?

Hmm, the name must have an edge, but also be kind of cute too - however not so cute it says "I'm a teddy bear"

My suggestion is "blue devil monster - with a vengeance" but somehow the others keep rejecting it :)

Please come up with something better than my suggestion! :D

this looks very fun and innovative. Using a popular gameplay style and mechanic but leveraging the innovative features of the iPhone. Anxious to see this game come out!

Developer, pls do not use this idea as it will only make people feel that they are getting a complete package and I dont think anyone would buy stuff like that. Secondly, it will cause more for many different versions to be put up on the app store and it is seriously not wise to do it.

    Hmmm... Electric... it's blue...

    *snap*

    ROBALT!

Oh and for the buying creatures idea, why use seperate apps when you can use 3.0 ingame purchases?

    The Underworld
    Cobalt for the blue color

or something derived from Electrophorus electricus, the scientific name for electric eels

Argon - a gas that glows electric blue when electricity is applied to it

Lapis lazuli - a deep blue mineral

Looking at the creatures I think a neat name for the "species" could be Quiggles... not sure why, it just suites them :)

Great suggestions guys, keep it up! :D

So far my favourite is Robalt/Cobalt and Quiggles or perhaps a combination...

    Cobaqs?
    Quigbalts?
    Quigbolts?
    RoCobalts?

    or perhaps not...

Nuu! I killed the thread D:

Sorry to double-post, but I wanted to say this:

    1.) New name idea! Quiggles+Robalt=Quobalt :D
2.) I know this could NOT happen right away, and really possibly never will, but at some point, could you make a spore-similar creature creator in the game? I think that would basically get you 50x(literally) as many downloads as if there were no creature creator.
