Those sneaky Apple testers are probably making sure their characters are high level before they let us start playing lol
Backlog makes me sadface. If the iPad users get a 1-2 week head start, I'll be pissed. And then I'll be pissed off even more for having to wait another 1-2 weeks when really I should be playing the game now. Lol...this may be off-topic, but did u ever notice that ur PL list could be renamed Pocket Legends Player List, therefore making it PLPL?
Just a thought, but does the content affect the approval process at all? I should imagine a large-ish mmo like this might need some time to pick over. Of course there may just be a button with a tick and 'no boobs' written on it to press for all I know
It should be out now... I mean, what can possibly be different from the iPad and the iPod version that make the iPod version harder to approve???
Aaah, the ever elusive "no boobs" button. I bet they forgot to check it and now we're going to wait until Apple scours this thing for hidden lady-parts. Thats' what I've been wondering. I really wonder why they didn't just push them through together, it would seem logical if they would have hit the approval barrier at the same time that they would have passed through at the same time.
Just to note, I have no clue about how the Apple approval process works, but if I had to venture a guess, I imagine at the bare minimum it involves making sure the client is stable and the there are no viruses or worms buried in the files. The last thing Apple wants is a game being released that bricks peoples devices or installs a virus. Content wise, I find it hard to believe Apple has people go entirely through a game before approving due to the sheer amount of apps released daily. Maybe they do, but who knows. I imagine the primary goal is making sure all the files on the app store are stable and virus/worm free. I find it hard to believe they comb through all the content.
Oh and get rid of the List after PLPL...it just sounds weird if it's Pocket Legends Player List List.
Hey there. This is actually my first post here on TA, although I've been reading these forums since I got my 3GS in November 2009. I decided to actually make an account after paying close attention to this thread for two days straight. I'd like to become a member of the TA guild thing when this game is approved. I'm not quite sure if I'm allowed to become a member seeing how this is my first post and all, but I gave it a try either way.
So I think I may have missed it, but for everyone here that's going to work together in-game, did we ever decide what server we were going to start on?
Welcome to TA, it's always good to have new people. And don't worry about this being your first post, it's good to see that you're taking the step to become involved in the community after being a long-time reader. I myself don't post too often, mostly because when I do it's terribly long-winded, so I know what it's like to have been around for a long time but not have a huge post-count to show for it. Again, it's nice to meet you and of course great to hear from you!
I think once the game releases we should probably do a quick update to select a server--it's tough to tell before we get a chance to see what's available.
I remember seeing this: So based entirely on name alone, I say we go with Alterra. Although both of them sound like car names to me, I don't know why but they do... Bob: Hey Jim, that's a really sweet car you're driving. Jim: Yeah, it's the new Fnord F-260. It get's terrible milage though. Bob: That's why I drive an Alterra.
Added! No, welcome! It's great to have you here! Look at my post count, it's nothing great either. I just started posting this morning. Alterra it is.
