pocket monster is actually a registered trademark of nintendo. looks like you'll have to change the name before you submit it. also, it's misleading, i too thought this might be a turn based pokemon-esq game only to discover a simple physics engine.

edit: also "Poketto Monsutā" is phonetic japanese for (you guessed it) pocket monster.

We had looked it up, there is no pocket monster tm registred yet.
In Wikipedia it says Pocket Monsters is translated to Poketto Monsutā in japanese and Pokemon is a build name that took the first few letters of this japanese words. But yea its misleading for all that know what pokemon means, we will make the name different in the end. Though we try to keep it close to the current meaning because it fits so well.

    Some Quick Questions (in bold):

Would you call this a "Pet" Simulator? - I italicized pet because it's not exactly a pet.

Will we be able to look inside the box?

Are there going to be different Models of Monsters. And can we fully customize the appearance, attitude, and traits?

Will we have the ability to feed, or entertain the monster?

    ----

These are silly questions, but I am really looking forward to the game.

well, everything you would expect you can do with your fingers if its real kinda and with the whole device you can control gravity.

no silly questions, except maybe the 2nd ;)

    1. if you mean with pet simulator, tamagotchi then no. You dont need to keep it alive, you can just interact and play with it. Works also very well to let all your rage out at that virtual creature, like a living stress ball that reacts. ;)

    2. Why do you want to look inside the box!? It is naked!

    3. There are a lot of different looking monsters but they are all based on the same monster. How the customization works in 1.0 we have not decided yet but expect also more and more options coming in updates.

    4. You can of course entertain it with what you do and also make it happy. Im not sure what virtual monsters eat? spiders?

Overall you can also expect more and more features in updates, also things that can be used to interact with the monster.

You should start a poll so people can vote on their favorite one! :)

yea that one is inspired by a tiger. A poll is a nice idea, but first there will be some more shown. :)

Wikipedia is not what i meant with that, that was only for looking what pokemon means! I looked it up in trademark registration websites, it is only "monster in my pocket" registred and of course pokemon.
