I saw that, but we all know already that Pocket RPG will eventually be universal. STP says that Pocket RPG will released in a few weeks but does not confirm whether it will be released as an universal app from the get-go. Whatever, I'm probably just over-complicating things. *sigh*
I missed the announcement this would be universal (if not a first in update) and had felt jilted it was originally slated as iPad only... color me excited.
I hope it does come out that quickly, but I'm a beta tester for it, and testing hasn't even started yet. They did say they want to have it really polished before testing begins though, so there most likely won't be much to improve.
I think your caps lock key might be broken. Glad you inserted the "FACEPALM", wouldn't have known you were attempting to be sarcastic otherwise.
Actually, facepalms signify frustration, not sarcasm. @Paradiso: I have a feeling that the folks at Tasty Poison have been using their own beta-testing crew. I sure hope we get to put the through its paces soon.
I know it's being released for the iPad, but I think their sales would do a lot better if they had it available for iPads and iPhones/iPod touches.
Hi guys! Sorry for the confusion. The plans have not changed... first iPad then shortly after this Universal with some extra goodies. (We are having cage fights in the office to sort this out... who ever walks out alive, gets to have their wish list in the Universal update.) As for testing... soon. Currently the game is being shown a bit at GDC to gauge reaction. From there our final tweaks and it is off to testers. Thanks for all your patience! Cheers! Steve.
I've been getting pumped up about this release... the dual stick mechanics seem like fun. Thanks for adapting it to iPhone/iPod but don't make us wait too long after the iPad crowd. It seems like iOS RPGs are in style this March/April (a dream come true). Mmmmmm... poison...
I have been following this thread for months and have heard nothing, even on tasty poison's website; no activity. Has the great looking project like this been abandoned? On january they said that soon..
Put a little video together. It is not a promotional video, it's a developer diary. We have shown a lot of screen shots and brief clips of the game, so this is a slightly longer continuous clip of the game being played with Evan talking over it describing it. Also, this video has been captured from a Windows build of the game, as such there are a few graphical anomalies in the inventory screen (that are not there in the iPad build). We're going to make a couple more of these, just to explain how the game works and show off the bits that we really like. We also plan to do a nice big exciting video and we're hoping Josh can do a hands on video as the game comes out. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
