Hi there! My name is Joshua and I am a professional music composer and sound man. I have done work for National Geographic and many other Tv projects. I am now looking to do more music for games, I most recently did the music for the game Chimes, which was featured in the new and noteworthy section: I have gotten some questions on rates so I thought that I would put some rates up: THESE ARE MY DISCOUNTED INDIE DEVELOPER RATES! For music I charge $50-75 per minute of music or per track if it is shorter than a minute. (75 for big orchestral works, 50 for other stuff) For sound FX I generally charge $3 per sound effect, though if you are getting a large number we can negotiate a bulk rate. This gets you professional work made to your specifications and gives you the flexibility to have it edited. I work extremely quickly and all my music is of the highest quality. I take direction well so I am very easy to work with. If interested please send me a PM! Here are a few examples of music I have done: Big Orchestral piece!: http://www.joshuacipolla.com/page0/files/Big%20orchestra%20piece.mp3 Another Orchestral work: http://www.joshuacipolla.com/page0/files/orchestral%20suite.mp3 Ambient Background music: http://www.joshuacipolla.com/page2/page4_files/Ambient.mp3 Funky: http://www.joshuacipolla.com/page2/page4_files/Funk.mp3 Jazz: http://www.joshuacipolla.com/page0/files/Bigish%20Band%20swing.mp3 I can do almost every style of music pretty well! Joshua did the music for my latest game, Chimes. I highly recommend him. At the time, he didn't even have an iPhone or iPod Touch (he does now), so I had to send him some early low-quality footage of the game. He made what became the main theme in like a day, and polished it over time based on our feedback. He made sure the music fully complimented the game's sound effects and matched the style and tone of the rest of the game. Only three of his pieces made it into the release build, but he produced about a dozen different tracks for us, and was always very receptive to our suggestions and requirements. We ran into some problems on our side with the audio programming, and Joshua had some great insight into how to work around it. Overall, the game turned out so much better as a result of his contribution, which was especially important because the game is centered around the music. I am definitely using him for my other projects.
Thanks to those I have heard from. I still have room in my schedule for some more projects this summer! I hope to hear from you all!!
