ive been working on a Card game for a few years now and i would like to take it to the Iphone / Ipad. its gonna be kind of a large job but i think with the Right programmer this can be a very good game.
you need an example? nice way to treat people who are trying to help you. real nice. about the game programming - do you have a budget?
Lol no .i ment the programmer above didnt seem like he wanted to have an actual conversation so im still lookin for a programmer
i was gonna say man - i just tried the attachment/IMG thing.. worked @kohjingyu has been around on these forums for a while - while he may underprice himself, he probably could do what you want him to do. you may want to give him a chance.. if you have concerns, and want to find someone else; and you want to discuss the financial side of things - then you can send me a PM. getting someone with experience and know-how can cost. we also see a lot of newbies posting info - that go nowhere.. so, it is good to be cautious.
Haha, thanks for the compliment But honestly, I was kind of skeptical about starcat. He claims he owns 9 companies and a WoW gold selling site..So I don't know..
as i said... we get a lot of newbies/wannabe's here.. they post about their great ideas and how they are going to make it big.. some are just 15 years old without a clue in the world (some of these guys could be great)... but, you never know. people are typically very skeptical upfront. i asked specifically if you had a budget for a programmer - any news on that? if you don't answer the questions posed to you; people will not take you seriously. thats the rules here on TA forums.
it is under "additional options" then you can find the link to the image; copy the URL it provides and put it in between the IMG tags.
is there an advanced button somewhere? i doubt it is something specific to your account on here.. i have seen many people upload attachments.
the big question. secondly - the images look pretty good; do you own all the copyrights to the images? are there more than just images? is there a specific theme in place? a goal to try and achieve? how do you intend to monetize the product? i think this would be my last post on the subject until the first question is answered. i highlighted it in bold for you.
i already answerd that question. i dont have a budget in mind untill i talk to a programmer. different programers give me different prices and different levels of complexities. secondly yes i own all the images. and hold all the copyrights. there are 250 cards in the first set and 60 cards each set after. 10 sets so far. its going to be a real TCG like magic. people can trade cards. buy booster packs etc.. get rares and such. as far as Theme, the First set is medieval because its something everyone can Relate to. after that i throw all that out the window and threre is a few surprises. it comes from a RPG system i made years ago called Legacy or the Legacy system. some planets had different themes but as a whole there was no theme. first set is as i said it. after that Aliens invade, now you have gone from Swords and sorcery to Alien technology. new classes / races and blaster weapons. set three might offer a Hybrid. set 4 might offer something like Time travel. or technology. i cant say because i want a few suprises left.
ok, now i see it. it looks like you want to obviously develop not on an iphone application; but also a web service that managed the trading of cards. are you consider in-app purchase? adding more cards in the future? giving away the management card for free with five random cards? so many things to decide - you need to have a business model. as for quotes; getting ideas from people - you will get something from $100 USD up to $20,000 USD - depending exactly on what you need to do. if you always go with the lowest bid; then you don't know what you are going to get. if you have a decent budget; and want someone like myself to focus on this - you are probably looking at a minimum of $5000 USD to develop it. i've done free games for marketing companies (simple) at this price range. hence the question about a budget.
