Expect to see more and more of this in the future.

Sadly you may be right, but hopefully not.

I also hope not ... but unfortunately the reality is harsh.

If it wasn't too long ago you could post them here and see if we can redeem them before this guy does, if they're gonna be wasted anyway you might as well take a shot at some feedback.

Like a fool I actually sent this idiot a promocode. I'd only just got up, that's my excuse. Since my app has been cracked. Lesson learned.

I fell for this faker but gave the code away on Twitter before he could use it. I suggest you do the same, if you don't use Twitter, give it away on the promo code forum here or the thread about your game.

Most likely, some teenager who doesn't have some money. As most adults have enough self respect to not do this...

Why would he need a promo code? Your app is free today. Well I had gotten a promo for ground effect. It's a good game.

It's probably way too late. This all happened Saturday morning. Fair play to him. Someone else emailed me earlier about reviewing my app. This time I made damn sure they were who they were claiming to be.

I don't think this guy would go through all this trouble of stealing promo codes without some benefit other than getting a free game.

This guy is probably part of a black market or something for selling promo codes in batches. Think about, why would this guy be trying to get free games from promo codes, when he could just jailbreak his ipod? I'm sure he has a jailbroken ipod (if he can afford it and isn't some Chinese Spamming Employee), he's just trying to sell these promo codes.

Probably is selling promo codes worth $10 in games for $1. Who wouldn't buy that?

But yeah, whatever he's doing, he's breaking some sort of law.

Awesome to hear. And I apologize for any insult. It’s a tough market as a small developer and we’re constantly being contacted by people trying to scam us so when I see a cool idea that’s offering something for nothing I’m automatically suspicious. I’ll be more considered in future before I run my mouth of about things.
