My co-worker just sold (?) me his PSP-3000 SE with these games tonight and just unpacked them.

He owned it since Christmas and stopped playing 2 months ago. Looks almost new.
Actually, I have only given him half of the cost as yet because I told him of wanting to throw this out on the TA forum. I'm not familiar with the game pricing, memory cards, etc and just thought to ask. I have no idea of what I have other than the PSP. (Rachet/Clank I'd played when the games were on PS2)
I haggled some and the buying price is now at $150.

    So the games are:
    God of War
    Juiced eliminator
    Star Wars "The Force" Unleashed
    National Treasure 2
    Ratchet and Clank Size Matters

Along with this a carry case, power cords, 2 (1GB) memory cards and a light green screen cover and the complete manuals.
(Eh...I just post a quick pict. You can click on the photo to enlarge it)

I was on the verge of buying a new PSP (never owned one prior) when my co-worker walked in with this set-up and before I knew it.... I'd bought it (or at least given him half of the price at this time with the understanding I'd check w/ TA for a final verdict).
I'd been following the PSP Games thread off/on prior and had been getting some great info on games and want to step into another genre of playing with the PSP. I've normally been playing casual games on the Touch till I got a taste of God of War while checking out the PSP and liked it, but not sure if this is even anyones game to comment on.
Anyway, curious to ask if anyone thinks this is worth it? You guys are basically deciding if I'm buying it or not.
    Thanks!

doesnt look like a bad deal considering you wanted to buy a new one already. Though I would personally never get the PSP. iPhone is way more than good enough for me.

If you won't be disappointed if they announce a new model at E3, then yes it's totally worth it. The PSP has games that the iPod can't even touch.(touch get it???)

For 150, I say go for it. He's not giving you many great games
but it's still a pretty good deal for all you're getting but you'll have to lay down some more money because you'll definitely want some more good games.

I think the new Metal Gear Solid is reason enough to get it. Grand Theft Auto is also good if you're into that stuff.

lol yes, God Of War and Ratchet are the only good ones in the bunch in my opinion, but with the accessories it's overall a good deal.

My exact opinion too. I used to have a PSP, but I sold it because it was never getting any use after I got my iPhone.

Although it does sound like a pretty good deal if you want a PSP.

Get it. Hey do you have a smart geek friend with a ton of psp games? Ask him if he can make you copies on a memory stick.

GET BATTLEFRONT 2. It is the exact console games, and the two GTA: Stories.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Get it. I've actually put my DS sort of to rest, with the exception of a few good games, but the PSP is my primary gaming device after my iPod. I really suggest getting it, as there are a ton of great games on the PSP that could never run on anything else.

I recently came by a PSP1000 myself - it is more than worthwhile - I use it far less than my touch, but I do use it.

Personally, I think that is a lil overpriced. PSP loses a whole lot of resale value because of its lack of popularity and the amount of people trying to sell em. I wouldn't pay more than $70 for the PSP-3000 (even less for previous models, then $5 for each quality peripheal/game. Just take a look on Craigslist or eBay. I wouldn't pay more than $90 for that.

I'm planning to get a PSP for the sole reason that, as an RPG fan, the PSP far, far exceeds the iPhone in terms of quality.
