Excellent, thanks! Is there anything I can add to the app's description to help convince people that's it's more RTS than puzzle game?
Glad to support an indie dev I gladly payed a little for both games, but wouldn't it be more effective to get more websites to review the game? Like of course TA itself? Having been free, many potential buyers just put the game on alert for it to be free again. Of course, multiplayer needs a bit of a community to go well, and being free does help for that.
Well, would love if TA took a look. But it's very hard to get in front of their review team. I'm still relatively small-time and don't have a lot of the personal connections that other developers have. I've also heard that reviews in and of themselves, even really positive ones, don't necessarily lead to much of a substantial bump in sales. Chart position is the biggest factor, and secondly is word of mouth. So I figured getting a ton of new users with a free sale would be better for the long-term health of the game.
I was reading through the thread trying to figure out if this was something I'd be interested in. Ultimately I was feeling a no... but then I see its Free for a few hours. Ok. I'll bite. .. Downloaded it and played the first two levels. Pretty interesting thus far. Once I dig a little deeper I'll post a review to the appstore and something to the main thread on the game.
Didn't know that. Maybe for TA it would help if PWN scored well in the game of the week poll at http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=182134 Another thing is that maybe writing your 'pitch-sheet' (why review the game and how to experience the essence of the game with a modest time investment) for reviewers could generate inspiration for how to help beginning players on their way more generally. Finally, there would be the option of a free limited version of course.
