well firemint can spend 2 millions on real racing because they have a everlasting seller which is not a 3d racing game :)

and what has screen size todo with importance of art? art will always be important.. this is a apple platform.. design is and will always be part of it.

actualy its geting more work making nice gfx because the resolution of this small screens are getting higher everyonce in a while..

so no hobbiest will have a hard time competing.. which is fine because thats the way a platform matures.. i won't miss all the crap that is on the appstore no one is interested in... great indie games always have more than just some "new" kind of gameplay.. if there is no art all you have is a tech demo and no game.

I never said that art isn't important I meant that there can be high quality games without using the latest 3D shader technology

But I agree that eye candy is still important.

Wait until you see the next update of my game it's probably one of the best looking games on the app store. No artist and no 3D shader tech. :D

We are about to release our game (iRequiem) and can't decide between $1.99 or $2.99. Based on what you can see on the game's official website http://www.irequiemgame.com how much would you be willing to pay for this game?

iRequiem looks like it's worth $2.99 to me it's not quite arcade quality but it looks pretty good.
