      i am just wondering if anyone knows due to experience, how long apps take to be released from the day they are submitted. is this the same about updates?

      Takes about a week and a half, if not more.

      Apple gets lots of app submissions. They are backed up a lot.

      Our new game Sliders - Match 3 was approved 6 days from submission. We submitted on a Saturday, and it was approved on a Friday. But games and apps may have different approval times, so YMMV!

      Good question re updates. Do updates tend to come out faster than first-time app submissions? I've heard "about a week" for both, but that could still mean something like 5-6 days for an update and 8-9 for a new app?
