Which addon did you guys get? I got the ninja + tiki one lol...

Managed to slay the evil big red ninja and his minions too (so 2 goals down, 1 left to go for this ramp) :D

I got them both. The ninja tiki one is pretty cool but the other one has the molar madness which I think is one of the best.

Gosh that's pretty .. and it's over 20MB, so that's gotta be many megabytes dedicated to gorgeousness, right? :) I just clicked buy. Looks great guys, and love the website. Look forward to trying it out.

As I said it's crashing here too and I also feel the flick action could be improved. In addition, if I tap a loot item it takes a few good seconds to load giving me the impression I didn't tap enough to display the item.

So I gave in and bought this and I'm really impressed by it. The graphics are stunning and the game play is fun and addictive. I've also purchased all of the extra ramps purely because I'm enjoying the game so much. The goals keep you playing the game as well as the prizes you can purchase with your tickets. While the game can be repetitive, I think there is enough variety between the levels and replay value to keep me playing this for a while.

The only problem I have with the game is that it seems to keep crashing. I've rebooted my iPod but it still crashes, so I really hope this gets fixed in an update. That is pretty much the only bad thing about this game, it is well worth $0.50 per ramp!

  14. RampChamp bug fixes

Hello everyone, thank you for the feedback and comments. We are currently working on a bug fix release. We got a bunches of minor new features to add in an upcoming update as well. But getting out the bug fixes are top priority for both Iconfactory and DS Media Labs.

This game crashes more than any of the 250+ iPod apps I've bought. (On my 2G iPod Touch running OS 3.0.) I've yet to have it last more than three minutes in any one session before turning into a slideshow and then dumping me back on the iPod menu screen.

When it's working it's very cute, but also very limited. Achieving the goals requires a level of precision that just isn't available, usually requiring nine perfect shots out of nine, or even more - to achieve the high-score goal in the Icon Garden, for example, requires 13,000 points. You only get nine shots with a maximum target value of 1000, so to reach the goal you need to hope for the ball to rebound off the only 1000-point target and hit a 500-point one, at least six times. There is no way I can discover of doing this on purpose - whether the ball bounces back or just falls down the hole after hitting the 1000-point target seems to be totally random.

The four ramps are also very unbalanced - if you're trying to buy all the loot you'd be insane to play anything but the Icon Garden, which offers 2-3 times the points of any of the other three ramps. You'll get 9000+ on almost every attempt there, whereas in Breakwater Bay you'll need a lot of skill to break 5000.

The game structure needs a lot of work to make it more enjoyable - an extra ball for every 3000 points or something would bump up the entertainment value a lot without making the challenges too easy. Global highscores are fairly pointless, since the maximum score you can get is fixed.

I too agree that the point goals seems a bit too high or maybe there should be another lower one added.........

GLOBAL HIGH SCORES make the game MUCH more addictive than goals..........:)

SpungoMcGee, without giving away the trick to obtain the last goal in Icon Garden. All I can say, you don't have to get the ball to rebound off one to another. There are hidden things, you just need to find it and trigger it.

Some are more fun to play, you need varieties. And we are giving that options to users. Some ramps offer points in straight forward fashion, others offer higher points that require greater skills. Also it depends if you are concentrating on goals at the moment or tickets

During testing, some users found one ramp is super easy. Another user gave the opposite commends.

Well, it's not just personal opinion, is it? On Space Swarm, for example, if you hit the 1000-point target it disappears. In Icon Garden if you hit the 1000-point target it respawns, giving you additional chances to hit it. (It's also static, whereas the one on Space Swarm is moving.) So if you want loot, stick to milking Icon Garden for points.

  19. There are moving targets in Icon Garden, you just haven't found it yet.

We kept making each ramp deeper and deeper, because someone (testers) will have extra ball(s) left with no targets to hit. That's why in Space Swarm, there are multiple levels. You just haven't get to it yet.

I've got to the second level in Space Swarm (my highscore is 7450), but it doesn't change the fact that it's much easier to score points in Icon Garden, because you always have six targets to aim at.
