Just bought the game today and I must say, good job! The prizes keep me motivated, the game is very fun to play and the in-game shop makes it easy to get more ramps.

I'm really tempted to buy this... but the crashing is putting me off. I know if I buy it now I'm practically guaranteed an update that'll fix it anyway but still... is it worth the risk or should I just wait?

Buy it. It's fun! It doesn't crash too much on my 3G

Depends on what device you have. I'm running the game perfectly on a 3GS and someone else on the thread with a 3GS have also said it runs fine. I think the problem was with an iPhone 3G and a 1st gen touch.

I have it on a 2G and a 3GS and it hasnt crashed at all yet on either device. The game is fun, but don't expect to be blown away. Physics could be better but are good enough.

Yeah.. the physics was a bit confusing at first because the angle in which you throw the ball does not seem to matter much, just the speed of the flick. But its good enough for me.

I like the game because the goals and the prizes make me come back for a quick fix every now and then. Although, some have said that the gameplay can be a bit repetetive.

@dpl8: Does not crash too much or does not crash at all?

The one thing I really wish there was is the target kind of skee ball, like in 10 balls 7 cups... I knew that kind best, and I've yet to see it in this game, which makes me sad, a bit. If only, if only...

I do like the different... Err... Lane things (whatever you call them >>; ), since it's almost a bit of an adventure at first to find what you can make pop up.

Though I do agree with some other peoples, the controls don't feel right. The ball doesn't seem to be a part of yourself like it should be. ...I don't really know how to fix that, but just saying.

But all in all, this game is -awesome-. I play it while... Well, in between one thing and another. I have a good 12 hour drive ahead of me (sitting in the car not driving, that is), so it should be great.

Though one thing that would make this game so very amazing (I doubt it'd happen, but...) would be if it was like Warioware on the DS, how when you got things, you could play with them. They never did anything amazing, but they were fun little things to play with, and that's why I loved that game so much. If all these little toys had some sort of thing they could do, I'm sure -everyone- would like the game. But that's only a dream... I got the idea from the ninja video game, and wondering if it did anything or not. (Still haven't gotten it, and I'm pretty sure it just sits there. >>; )

Ohalso. The game doesn't crash for me at all. Just saying. Though I -do- have a 3GS.

    Ramp Sounds?

Does the lack of sound when the ball is on the ramp bug anybody else?

I went back and played Arcade Bowling [lite], and all of a sudden I'm finding this to be a strange omission for a game with so much attention to detail.

Also I wish they'd turn the squeeze toy clown sounds a notch or two, they're very loud compared to the rest of the sounds in the game.

That's a great idea. At least a simple animation or sound effect when you touch them.

Thanks iconfactory, it's a great game, buy yea I agree with some other people, it would b cool to have like little micro games with our prizes we can play or something, it would definately add more replay value to the game and keep people coming back for more! :)

Score. I bought the game earlier today... some of those prizes require loads of tickets, I'm really gonna need to work on my aim.

Okay, their are a lot of games out their that are.. meh. Their are also alot of games out their that are.. well frankly they just put a frown on your face. But, their of course, the games that give us a grin and make us want to show the game to friends. Whether we want to rub the game into their face, or if we want to show them how good the games are on the device. This game is the game that gives the grins. This game is the game that you give to friends to show off your device. This game, is ramp champ. Amazingly polished user interface and it's an overall perfect ski-ball experience. The four games you get are, Clown Town, Breakwater Bay, Space Swarm, and the Icon Garden. I find myself playing Space Swarm the most often. The graphics are done finely and are overall, eye candy. The re playablity is their, as you play the game, and watch the amazing effect of tickets dispensing which is done greatly. You can get trophys from accomplishing goals in each ski-ball game, which are placed finely on the shelves next to the shelves where you put the items from the tickets you redeem. Yes, you heard right. The tickets that magicly dispense on the screen (Note, they do not come out of your device) can be used at the prize counter to redeem some cool prizes to be placed on your shelf. Their are also paid downloadable content. For a dollar you get 2 new Ski-Ball game courses. The Adventure Pack, and the Challenge Pack. Looking at the quality of Ramp Champ, I am very tempted to get those when I pick up another iTunes giftcard. This game is overall worth the asking price and left that grin on my face. This game is definitely recommended.

I love the game, but I don't see how i'm ever going to achieve some of the trophies! I mean, 13,000 points on the last one? You'd need to hit at least 2 per ball every ball!

I see what people are saying about the controls... it's not really obvious how they work. Sometimes doing the exact same movement seems to change the throw dramatically. Obviously it's registering the touches differently, but it seems really picky about it... too picky to be able to pull off shots with real consistency. I can barely even repeat a certain angle twice in a row.

...maybe it just requires practise, but it seems a few people are thinking the same thing. Further refinement couldn't hurt.

As far as flicking arcades go: "Ramp Champ" gets the "Best in Show"!

That being said, I've been playing the game quite a bit, particularly the Icon Garden level (well... actually, that's the only level I've been playing) and so far the game has crashed each and every time, without fail. This usually happens 15+ continuous rounds into the game.

Since this is an arcade game, and it saves your tickets upon the crash, I have not been too bothered (not like I'm loosing any quarters or anything), but it is an issue.

Also, at random times the game "stalls". As I think it didn't detect my flick, I try again, then again. About five-Mississippi later 3-4 balls (however many times I've flicked since the "stall") come shooting out at what is now a hidden target.

I have no problems with the controls, and tend to get pretty accurate once i am settled in (I'm up to 12,000 on Icon Garden). Aside from the fore-mentioned issues, the game is extremely fun, well designed and pleasing to the eye.

Perhaps it is worth checking out the Icon Garden level to spot the problem, like I said, it is the only level I've played so far and it crashed every single time.

I would, however, like to add that even with the issues I've been having, "Ramp Champ" is worth every penny, and I recommend it to anyone who has ever put a quarter into a skee-ball machine.

I've had some temporary freezes, sometimes up to 4 seconds or so. No crashes yet but I've only played in short bursts. Touch 2G 3.0.

Ok, not sure I can take it anymore, cause the game looks really cool and I want it, but I have been asking and asking and looking and, oh yeah, looking, but cant find any info or chat on why it doesnt have any global high scores. I wish it had it, Dev, you there? Please think about it, but for now, im going to get your app, carnies rule :)
