Nope. I expect it to be about cars, but not to sound like an infomercial.

I already said this in the post you replied to. Your attempted insults are pathetic.

The sole reason for me hating Jeremy Clarkson is the fact that he dislikes motorbikes and riders. Apart from that he's pretty funny. I haven't read any of his books though, so I don't know much about him.

So how do you propose people talk about cars and provide information without sounding like they think you should own one?

Are you daft? The difference between providing interesting info vs. Selling something is quite large. You can disagree whether the show is doing one or the other, but I should not have to explain the premise. The question is simply juvenile.

I guess TouchArcade could just start posting press releases on the home page instead of articles and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference?

BBC 2, Dave. Or if you're not in the UK, look about on the Internet, there will be sites which show you episodes

Oh I'm sorry, you're right. Top Gear is totally trying to sell you Veyrons, Enzos and Zondas, because you can definitely afford a new one every week. I apologize unreservedly at the way they smash and burn caravans because they're trying to make you part with your hard-earned cash and buy one. Oh, and racing across France? Trying to sell you baguettes I suppose. Have you even seen the show? There's the occasional section where they compare average priced cars to help the consumer decide which one suits their needs, and do you know why? Because people keep writing in specifically asking them to do it.

It's one of the BBCs most popular shows, reaching approx 350 million viewers across the globe, it frequently wins television awards, the three hosts have all won awards, even the cameramen have won awards, and you sit there insinuating it's not interesting just because you're afraid they're trying to sell you a car? Grow up, if you're gonna pick a conspiracy theory, pick a more exciting one. If anything here is juvenile it's your backlash against something that's popular. The world isn't out to get you, you don't have to be afraid.

...and the game press releases? They basically get copied onto the front page, just slightly reworded to keep it unique to the site. There's really no difference.

Your argument doesn't make much sense... You went from saying it was unlike infomercials, to "infomercial-like" as the only way to do the show, then some weird sarcasm I don't quite understand to saying it's a really popular shoe...?

It does when you read it properly. I never said it was unlike infomercials, I was saying that an infomercial and an informative car programme that occasionally aims to help viewers make decisions about their purchases are obviously going to have similarities Take out all the info, talk of car specs and fanboyish praise and you've got no programme left.

I think I've found the root of the problem though. He just doesn't like the road tests. His attention span isn't quite wide enough and he's not really that into cars, so anything that's not about ramping limos over wedding parties gets him all bored and angry.

Is it ok with you if someone has a different opinion from yours?

If not, good luck with that.

You have no idea what you are talking about so just give it up.
