All of the most important stuff will still be on our main site, yes, but there will be some Facebook exclusive stuff too.
I need a FB account to view the stuff or can I just like it to view without making one? By exclusive can you be please be less vague. Like, promotion codes or just news? WTH is exclusive.
If the iPad version was successful, why neglect it this go round? Will there be a version sooner, rather than later?
Yes, you will need a Facebook account to view the Facebook exclusive stuff, this includes entering into the competitions. As for what exactly the other exclusives will be, I'm sorry but I can't give any more information yet. It's a secret As mentioned here: http://firemint.com/?p=3387: If we were neglecting the iPad, we wouldn't be developing for it. An iPad version of Real Racing 2 is on it's way. We've just got to make sure it'll be as good as it possibly can be on the iPad. It won't be a quick and lazy port.
Not sure if it's been asked, but it probably has. How deep will the customization be? Appearance only? Engine/chassis modifications, aka performance? What about tuning (e.g. gear ratios, suspension, etc)? God forbid, engine swaps?
Details on that will be announced closer to release. Sorry I can't go into detail! The first winner has been announced on Facebook. Another code is up for grabs today - link.
I love Real Racing, but I hope version 2 decreases the general car grip, so we need to use the brakes more, and it needs real world track layouts. I know there are tracks that (very) loosely resemble Monza, Monaco and Spa-Francorchamps, but proper layouts(even if you can't use their real names) would be great.
Tell me about it. SEGA have dropped the ball so badly on the iPhone. Imagine, arcade perfect OutRun(1 & 2), Super Monaco GP, Daytona USA, Scud Race, Power Drift, Virtua Racing....[/dream]
Looking at the new in-game video on their facebook page it seemed like a GT-R was taking fairly sharp turns at 90mph and a chicane at 130+mph..... hoping this isn't indicative of the 'final' physics
I hope it's more realistic this time. Real Racing 1 had the aesthetics of a simulation, but the handling and physics didn't feel very realistic.
Indeed. I know Gran Turismo is a 'full' game in the traditional(budget & development time) sense, but that looks and plays better on 5-year old, inferior hardware(PSP). Firemint don't have to make any drastic changes to the physics, just cut the overall car grip in half.
We are going to release a WHOLE lot more information about Real Racing 2 very soon! Keep an eye on our Twitter page over the next 24 hours.
