Dang, I was thinking of getting a NZ account long ago just for this kind of situations. Maybe I will do it for Dead Trigger 2 so I can get a jump to look at it. Thanks.
This seems fun and I do like it but I have the feeling its a bunch of mini games together instead of what real racing 2 has. Nothing has a stand out its more like Mario party in a way with different tiers and types of races. I don't know I just felt like saying that.
This post should be in the good thread in the iphone section. This thread is for ranting and raving...
Eli: There is IAP done wrong, and IAP done right. I wholeheartedly agree freemium is the only realistic way for developers to make a lot of money on a game given the current state of mobile gaming, but this is clearly an unreasonable money grab, plain and simple. When I can buy Forza Horizon WITH DLC for $100.00, vs 1000 or whatever coins for $124.99, what would I buy? I can name a few others that have gone this cash grab route, and who originated the paywall: Let's Golf 3 (yes, BELOVED Gameloft) was one of the first to put up a per-hole paywall. CSR Racing used "fuel" instead of gold coins, of which you had to purchase. Gamevil with their "soft" paywalls e.g. Zenonia 5, Baseball Superstars 2013, etc. Here are examples of some games that do IAP correctly and still make a fistful out of it: Temple Run 1/2 Angry Birds (all of them) Anipang on Kakao Anyway, whatever. Everyone on TA can leave RR3 a 1-star review but it will still make a good chunk of change from the rich or people who don't know any better. But it will alienate EA even further than they already are among the enthusiast mobile gamers.
Some protips: 1) Buy the most expensive car in each tier. Then you don't have to bother upgrading the weaker ones. 2) Stop immediately once you have reached first place in endurance races. Continuing will eat up your services. 3) Slip bumps do not result in damage. So if you want to just scrape past your rivals on the first turn, you can be careful enough and not initiate damage. Edit: Oops., wrong thread.
I can't believe people have the audacity to call RR3 a 'tech demo'. Come on folks, no self respecting tech demo would have timers.
I just tried RR3 and I feel the graphics are...severely reduced on iPad 2. Pixel spotted road, matte cars with no detail, which only appears when in bumping proximity.
EA saved Christmas look I know everyone is hating on EA and FireMonkeys but deep down there not as evil as you think. At some point they all got together and said "I know people are going to be disappointed, but let's not disappoint them on Christmas day, let's delay the launch" They delayed the launch to stop children everywhere crying They also knew there would be lots of lonely males on valentines day with nothing todo but complain on the Internet. Soon those lonely males forgot they were single. For that EA and FireMonkeys I thankyou You saved Christmas
AHAHAHAHA OFF-TOPIC: From my POV the best car you can get a low point in the game is the BMW Z4 M Coupé. Get it or wait till it appears in a discount (recommend the first one though).
Funny post. Now there are 4 threads bashing Real Racing 3. So confusing. You say off topic, but that is funny, it should be in the good thread not here hehe. Never seen anything like this before on TA. The Dead Trigger thread seems so much calmer than all this RR3 threads. It was easier to keep a handle on too as just one thread. This one is crazy. Just crazy having 4 threads, and so Much hate. You gotta think that EA and firemonkeys are reading this. But maybe not, maybe they don't care about Toucharcade and what everyone thinks.
Just to let you know..... THEY TWEAKED THE REPAIR TIMES Oil change was 15 minutes = now 5 minutes Tyres was 30 minutes = now 10 minutes And so on... And who said they didn't care about our opinion If we keep bashing them a little bit more, the timers are history
