Oh wow. This is even more condescending. If I were you, I'd just log out and take a jog outside. Better to save your face than to make a fool out of yourself in the presence of your site's readers mate.

I'd bet a substantial amount of money that Firemonkeys had absolutely nothing to do with the pricing model developed for this game. Calling them brave is hyperbole at best. At worst, they're cowardly, money-grubbing whores that sold out to EA and now begrudgingly play by their rules.

The developers of this game aren't going to cash in on these IAP. They might get some incentive-based bonuses, but the people that made this game aren't going to be running to the bank every time some fool buys $100 worth of e-trash, they'll sit by and watch EA stack paper that should be going into their coffers.

I hope it's painful as hell watching all their hard work make crazy amounts of money for EA while they rest in the background, hoping to hit their bonus numbers.

This is just ridiculous ... I change the oil (15min) before 2 races and now after a drag race (with proper change of gears) i must to change it again (15min)...
If this is a balanced game (even for the most expensive freemium) i am an astronaut.
I have play all the big racing titles on iOS (and not only... cause is my fav genre overall, consoles, pc etc.). I really loved the first 2 titles of the series and i uninstalled RR from my device only when RR2 was out and i was waiting to happen the same again with RR3. Never kept other racers in my device after finish them... just RR series...
Guess what... Bye bye RR3 :(
I know that millions of peoples gonna download and play this game but it is not for me... Even i am not sure that Sim Racing is a good model from freemium i know that a lot of people will download and pay for this just for the graphics (the casual audience most).
Also about the business model that i m hearing here... A good profit when you invest 2-4.000.000 is 10.000.000... You have pay the 2-4mils investment and you have 6-8mils more in your pocket (and this is a number that RR3 could manage with a premium price)...
But when you re EA you re just dreaming the CSRacing profits, but... this is something like lotto... Not any freemium racing game can earn 10.000.000 monthly.
Anyway the future will show.. i just hope this model won't work for RR and one day we will enjoy again the best racing iOS game far from timers and fairytales.

I'm more excited about RR3 becoming a meme on this forum than I am for my 6-hour countdown to finish.

The people making the most ruckus here are confusing what is happening on the App Store with what they ideally want to happen. As mentioned over and over again, there's a much smaller group of people willing to pay 9.99 in one go vs a game that's free that uses iap to generate income. Remember that the TA community doesn't represent all of the App Store users out there. Is the iap model good? Nope. Do I personally want it to work? Nope. But numbers and dollars speak louder than words on a forum and that's what companies go by.

No, people are being accused of being confused. We understand the reasoning behind it all, but we still don't like it.

It is entirely possible as well that they purposely inflated prices for this two week period, just so that when the game releases everywhere and they lower them to only $50 for one car and 3 hours waiting time instead of 6, everyone will shed tears of joy and feel vindicated.

But then again, I'm just a cynic and a conspiracy theorist, so do take that with a grain of salt.

I'll ask again shall I? Is there a way you can fast forward the iDevices time/clock forward to make the game/RR3 waiting time faster?

For example. Your iPhone time is 3pm the game says you got to wait 2 hours to repair the breaks. Fast forward your iPhone to 5pm then go back to the game and the waiting time is now repaired. Is this possible?

Let's just say VERY BAD. On the freemium front at least. The main game is pretty solid, though not as much of a step up from Real Racing 2 that I'd have liked.

Look, there's the right way to do freemium, and the wrong way. This is on the extreme end of the wrong way. That's why everyone's so upset.
