Oh I'm not sure about the gameplay. It's quite slow and does not really have the same intensity as Ninja Assassin. Lack of blood, combos, slicing, inartistic attacks, slow gameplay etc just pile up against this game.
You're looking for a real brutal game, aren't ya? Blood is already on the feature list. Though pretty below, it could be put up if we got more requests. The focus of the game is on fighting, not killing!!! Regarding attacks and gameplay we got quite the opposite feedback from testers. The general feedback was that it was kind of cool to see those tiny ninjas fighting and jumping around and that this game reminds them of the Bruce Lee cave fight in Enter the Dragon and also the classic Jackie Chan movies where he fights against 10 guys at the same time. So I'll put up a demo video of a more difficult level with ninjas.
Thanks for all the comments. They are much appreciated. @antony.thai: "realistic" in this case refers to the fighting and only secondary, if at all, to graphics (see screenshots). I personally think that a 2D view is still the best choice for fighting games. @gunxsword: Ninja Assassin is COOL. But the gameplay here is very different. There are already a lot of button mashing games out there and the world does't really need another one, like Apple said about farting apps So the goal here was to make something new, no Ninja Assassin 2, no button mashing, and also no 1 vs. 1 fighting game. This game probably wouldn't appeal to those who like to touch one button all over the time and see the game's character flying around and doing all the attacks for you. It's more for those who like games like Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and so on, and who like to see a martial art platformer with similar controls. By the way, we've consulted real martial artists for this game (motion capturing, fight logic, computer intelligence ...) and we tested, improved, tested, improved and tested ... . And in the end we got consistently good feedbacks from testers ranging from "refreshing gameplay", "never seen before" to "my favourite fighting game". So put aside any present preconceptions and give this game a try when it comes out.
Oh well... sorry but I'm more into King of Fighters (which is a lot faster, has more combos and more action) than the above mentioned games. Guess I'll have to pass up on this one.
Ninja Fighting Demonstration As promised, here's a gameplay demo with lots of ninjas. This game is all about the art of fighting and I hope you enjoy it! Made for all martial arts fans!!! There's a small lag in the video, but this is because of youtube. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
