Great game for .99 and closest to Wipeout yet. Just into a few races but one thing is the controls are going to bring me back to the game. I'm undecided on the green/red thing, does add something to the game but is it there for the entire game? Anyway, not twisting anyone's arm to buy but am going to recommend getting this, especially at the current price.
Damn, I have under 400 megs left on my PC, which means I have to delete some other app, hoping it doesn't vanish from the store. Crap I hate iTunes.
Still on the fence. I bought Wipeout 3D about a year ago and hated it because of the controls. Will I be able to enjoy this?
I hate Wipeout clones that no matter how good I get I still bang into the walls because of either the track configuration or the controls. (Or could it be I never got good...) With Repulze I'm not doing that as much, even when first starting out. I'm still learning the tracks but can maneuver around fairly well. Once I get the tracks memorized I think I'll avoid the walls even more.
I don't really play well with the default sensitivity settings, but since I switched to the swipe control option and turned down the sensitivity to 20, I ve been able to control the crafts really well. So you'll be able to play with the sensitivity if the controls are too quick for you in the beginning. Shouldn't have too much of a problem once u mess with the sensitivity a bit
I play Repulze on my iPod Touch 4G as my only iOS Device and it runs real smooth. Almost zero lags. Only had some lag issues on one particular track, but seldom occurs too. I shut off the other apps though, not sure if running so many apps simultaneously lags Repulze, but runs smooth alone, even when I turn on Retina display (Repulze gives you the option to turn it off). Battery life is quite good too, lasts longer than most 3D games, drains ~50% in 1.5h for my jailbroken device.
Thank you very much, FBI LR, for your precious contribution. I still not get it why devs don't provide such information at the first place. Or should I see it as a standard iOS built-in puzzle game? "Find out yourself what IAPs are for?" Thanks guys. It seems to be the same with the IAPs of Asphalt. Fully playable without real money with some tough challenges for perfect scores anyway. (I played through complete Asphalt several times—full score—without spending any money.) Although the dev sounded a bit different when Repulze came out. Link to main thread: I know my English is not the best but he didn't write: "And no, there's no IAP involved and there never will be." (Did he?) Repulze is—since Phase 3—very recommended although I am still missing a perfect working local multiplayer feature via Bluetooth and/or WiFi like in Asphalt 7: Heat (or Asphalt 6, Asphalt 5…). Would be a blast believe me. (Our favorite game mode for 3D racers and FPS.) Uh, yes, a random quick play option please. Controls in Repulze are perfect (I am ALWAYS playing with tilt controls—no matter what 3D racing game). Love it when you have to drive head-over.
