Somewhat disappointed to see it's not a choose-your-own-adventure novel. They did specify iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3GS (as well as iPhone 4 and iPad) in the first post.
Then you might like this An amazing acoustic tribute by Kuneo Koei and Mary Margaret Park (author of the upcoming Road Blaster Novel ) I know I'm gonna revive When I am...on the road. I've got nowhere to hide When I am...on the road. And there's no use in wondering what Made you feel like parting from me then, girl. How many more tears must I shed So as to melt the frigid wall of time? So I'm gonna break it Have no fear...on the road. You know I'm sure to make it No matter what's...on the road. I know too well it's very hard It's just barking for the silver moon. But I don't care how long it takes, As long as she lights up my way in the gloom Until the very moment When I see you again, I'll keep speeding along the road to the sun, The burning sun! Hear the roars of my car, I'm nearly round the bend, Searching for the love that we did share. There's no one who can stop me now.
Big thanks for the link! May I ask one more question? From what I know, there are two version of the game soundtrack. I know Sega Saturn have the other one, in my humble opinion much worse than SegaCD. I want to ask, which one will be avaiable in the game? Of course I'm praying for the SegaCD one
Hehe. Come back when you've reached the end of Race Forever. If that's not enough, there are six SJG Car Wars novels and at four Freeway Warrior books as well.
Over the years there's been a fair few soundtracks in different versions of the game. By and large it's as a result of licensing issues. Most people have fond memories of the crazy Joe Cocker-esque rock anthem that can be found in the Sega CD version, however that never appeared in the original arcade game. We'd LOVE to include it and there are talks happening about music related bonuses for inclusion but there are no high quality recordings out there of that theme and the creators of that track aren't available for contact. So signs aren't good for that happening at this stage.
Gentlemen start your engines. Damn this avatar would make a nice icon. Just sayin (wink wink) Usually the last thing we work on before a release

lol our warped way of saying soon. Very soon If you want to be advised on launch day - blank email [email protected]
I've had the chance to spend some time with a pre-release copy of this game, and it blew me away. If you were a fan of the original arcade game (or even the Saturn version), you're in for a real treat. The animation is awesome and beautifully transferred to the iPhone version. A lot of care was taken making the cockpit views look great and they marry with the onscreen animation perfectly. The whole app is just highly "polished" for lack of a better word. If you're a laserdisc game enthusiast (or just interested in them) this game is a top of the line translation of a pretty rare (but very very good) one. Even if you're not generally a fan of laserdisc games (or have never heard of the original game), I'd highly recommend checking this one out when it releases. As you're driving a car, your movements feel like they represent the onscreen action to a greater degree than "third person" laserdisc games like Dragon's Lair/Space Ace, which makes it feel more accessible and intuitive to play. Not sure exactly how much more I can say about it, so I'll keep a long story short. Keep your eyes out for this one. It's an awesome game.
Alrighty...first the bad news - it doesn't look like RoadBlaster is going to make it through the review process this side of xmas The good news - it's done, it came out better than we hoped it would, and we'll put up a video tonight which we hope will get those of you who know the original excited, and will maybe? pique the interest of those who've never heard of this japanese anime arcade cult classic. Only if you want us to of course ?
Ah, well that's a shame, I was really hoping this would cone out before Xmas. Still, it's good to know that it's finished and you're happy with it. I wore my SegaCD version out back in the day and can't wait to be able to carry it around in my pocket. A video would be great to tide us over until it's eventual release. Any luck on managing to include the awesome intro song?
Looking sick! I've never personally played Road Blaster, but I'm a huge fan of those sorts of games, and this definitely looks like one of the best!
