Thanks for the warning and the entertainment I remember him from the GameSalad forum. Think he's been banned more than once over there. Just curious; why would you be interested in something like this? All his stuff is crap.
Well I need to look at all the long term sales data, and then see what does sell and what might be worth salvaging and or how long it would take. It was a cheap no risk investment to get at that junk sales data for 200 apps over 2 years.

Hmm that does not look like what I was talking about at all. That looks like chart positions and ranks. I would want sorting like actual sales data per month or even estimates for things way off the charts. BTW I use flurry and I use App Viz 2 for simular sales data.
I wonder what got you into buying this in the first place? Yuo're obviously not a new member of TA - you must have seen what Mateen has been trying to pull out here several times Anyway, I hope you got your money back. Can't say I'm surprised seeing Mateen involved -_-
its ranks and sales, actual & estimated across the board, not just junk no one should really care about.. but if you are willing to send money to an more than obvious scammer, you might be interested to invest a little more for really usefull data.
Hi TheBunny, After reading all your long message here. I myself have the same situation as describe in your email. Look like this scammer using the same trick. I am currently waiting for Paypal to take action. I really hope that I am the last victim in this case.
If you have any problems with paypal you hopefully paid with a credit card. You can then contest the payment through the credit card instead. Oh can you drop me an email at [email protected] I want to start collecting and documenting everyone thats been scammed.
If this fraudster spends all his Paypal money in one go, there is NO way Paypal is going to give you back your money, even if Paypal claims that payments are insured! I have been through it a few times, and Paypal simply won't budge. If the other end has no funds available, you are not going to get anything back. On the other hand, the credit card companies and banks are very helpful, and usually will refund your money after 30 days if you present good documentation of teh case.

Yes because that web page is basically crap, no examples of anything and crappy bullet point list. The only thing I see that might be related is a sales pitch with no pricing. well if you are willing to pay 1k for data on 200x junk.. i thought this might be more interesting since this is data on.. well.. everything and i now the attention span of the average ios games is very low.. but i would have expected a bit more from a fellow developer.. at least read, comprehend and click on a button for an inquiry ... as i see they raised the price a bit (+3k) .. again one needs to put that into perspective.. on one side shovelware with no value whatsoever behind it and if it was about numbers you can get the grand picture on the other side.. next to flurry, appannie is the biggest metrics collector out there.. only apple knows the total numbers better anyway i warned you before in the other thread. good luck getting your money back, hiring a lawyer and prosecuting this fellow.. let us now how it turns out. i'm still baffled how easy an teenager can scam alot of people.. go figure.
I would like to share my experience with Paypal. I purchased a website header from an online website, and although it only cost $15 the premise may be the same. Needless to say, the seller failed to deliver anything and I was scammed for $15. Here was the response from Paypal: As you can see, Paypal will not protect the buyer when the goods are virtual or not shipped with a courier. Since I was not able to provide proof that I did not receive my goods (i.e. in the form of package tracking) then I was out my money. I even gave full consent for Paypal to request the website header be emailed to them to confirm. They would not take it any further. I truly hope this scenario will not apply in your situation. I think what may save you is that you payed with your credit card. They at least try to protect their buyers and close scam loopholes unlike Paypal. I did read that previous post and I remember it being very suspicious at the time. I do wish you all the best with this though.
Paypal will not but maybe the credit card company will? With a credit card you have another layer of defense possibly? My recommendation is to report him to Apple with whatever evidence you may have collected and let them deal with it, you might not get your money back but there is justice in knowing that he's been dealt with. Alternatively if you have the evidence on hand expose him not just on toucharcade but other popular apprelated sites.
