Don't be afraid to sell some stuff to get enough money, it's powerful enough to make up for the loss.

Wave 45 can be very very hard and you will almost have to have the beam tower by then. Also don't by it a piece at a time, wait til you have enough cash.

Also once a barrier breaks sell everything that has been built around that barrier and move it to the last barrier, it will be much more effective there.

I tried map 4 over 10 times and the best was at 30 wave. How should I allocate the limited money to protect 3 gates? Should I not buy anything until the money up to 400?
Please give me some hints! Thanks!

Did you use slowing towers for anything? I can't get past level 300 myself.

I have to save Orbital Laser for the Arthropods obviously. It's the warriors that give me trouble. Do you use slowing towers for them or do the beam turrets eventually get them down in time?

I'm not certain, but it seems like slowing towers slow enemies down just a tiny bit more than the beam towers.

I hear you... I'm battling it myself. I get to about level 86-87, and then the whole thing just falls apart.

I think gorehound is talking about the tactical missions (mission 4 is where you have to get 3 barrier perfects). For this mission you should use a cluster of upgraded bomb towers and a booster to the left of the first gate. You should also use missiles if required to ensure the fast enemies don't get through. After that you should get beam towers as well to hit the larger enemies.

For completing map 4 in assault mode, JanOnDemand, you should try and conserve money in the early part of the level by experimenting with upgrades and tower positions. The interest you earn from unspent money will make the last part of the level easier. Fully upgraded towers will be vastly more effective than lots of standard towers, so you should put your towers in clusters, ideally with a booster in the middle.

    I hope that helps! :)
