Lag affects everyone but it seems worst for shoto type characters because at least with a charge character, you can still hold back. You whiff a fireball motion (or an Ultra motion as I did a TON of times against Wediafom earlier) and you're dead in the water if they catch it.
Yea, there were a bunch of chances to punish the whiffed SRKs. Glad that I wasn't. Is there any truly effective whiff-punish, aside from jab-jab-jab-flashkick?
Yes, in training mode, online, or non-ranked but i get a little bit nervous during these tournament battles. Either that, or its all i know man. Lets get a couple matches in, want to?
Tested out a few things. Off a blocked SRK: grab = 150 dmg + 100 stun sweep = 120 dmg + 200 stun jab-flash gets 195 dmg + 250 stun jab-jab-flash gets 198 dmg + 260 stun jab-jab-jab-flash gets 210 dmg + 280 stun Level 2 Focus, Grab gets 200 dmg + 230 stun Level 2 Focus, Sweep = 176 dmg + 310 stun Level 2 Focus, jab-jab-jab-flash gets 234 dmg + 355 stun standing punch - flash gets 240 dmg + 300 stun standing punch - ex flash gets 300 dmg + 350 stun standing punch - sonic boom - b-kick/sweep/backhand gets 231 dmg + 310 stun, but there's maybe a 1-2 frame link between boom to next move Any other ideas out there, without burning a lot of meter, and accounting for dropped inputs due to lag? Level 2 Focus, Half-revenge = 275 dmg + 150 stun Level 2 Focus, full-revenge = 350 dmg + 150 stun

I'm the exact same way I think. If I attach any sort of importance to the match I'm playing, I #### it all up. Good games just now though! You really beasted my Ryu in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of that last match! Hahahaha! Ain't that the truth! There's no character limit. you can use whoever you want, whenever you want. Are you and Volo gonna do you match? Yes you did. Quite decidedly I might add. I shoulda waited lol, though that's no guarantee the outcome would have been any different. Like I said, looking forward to a rematch sometime!
Back atcha! I've actually thought about picking up Vega just for fun. I played through a few of his challenges and he's got a different style than he did in previous games in some ways. So I may try him out some.
Still trying to see how he measures up to some of the other characters. I always get my ass kicked by Bisons i know that..
If you ever come across Stelios, although he ragequits when he's about to lose, he has a very refined Vega. Every time I play him, he's crazier than before. Always doing the wall jumps and putting pressure in any way he can.

Yeah I'd definitely say he's the best Vega out there, though I seem to recall him using Chun last time I played him. And he does ragequit lol! It's like a SF tradition with him that I'm always somewhat amazed when he doesn't (which I think only happened when I beat his Chun the first time haha!)
