I got your friend request but didn't accept it because I didn't want to immediately get invited to a match I wasn't ready to play, I'll be available Wednesday after 7pm est I can't tomorrow because I work from sun up to sun down.
To address an issue that came up this weekend, please make reasonable efforts to make sure that your opponent knows that you will be sending an invite for the tourney. Sending cold GC requests is not the best option for this because the note that accompanies them does not stay on the screen very long. On a related note, please make sure to post results here so we are all aware. Additionally, please let me know the status of the remaining matches. I have only seen Javier here once and have never seen Cuong here. I understand people having difficulties with schedules, but it's at least encouraging when we see some effort to try to get these matches done. I can get ahold of TA members pretty quickly so if I know a Crossfire member is looking, I'll help set it up. Lastly, if people are still interested (which I think is borderline at this point) I will post 2nd round matches to keep it moving. Please let me know if you will not have time to participate in round 2 so we can find replacements.
I do not know if we'll have enough interest to keep this going, but if so, I have posted the second round matches on the first page and am re-posting them here. You're free to play the matches at any time, although I haven't quite figured out how we'll work out the scoring (new spreadsheet to keep things clean or just add on?), etc. Basically, I just had 5 minutes free and punched the names back into random.org (and swapped any duplicate matches).
Thanks for catching that. I thought I had already made the swap. Harle got matched up with Khoipro again so I swapped those two matches. Shouldn't be any duplicates now.

It's cool man. Burnt is a good guy and I knew it would work itself out. Feel free to stick around after the tourney in the main thread here if you want. Good place to hang out and talk about Volt and all things Street Fighter. We've got a couple of beast Blankas that I'm sure you could swap secrets with (not like we need that though).

Yeah, I remember being runner up in the first tourney (lost to squall), although that didn't count since it was before the (awful) Sim nerf and before we added so many beasts to our little community.

I still never got to see your Guile, in a replay or otherwise. I think you mentioned maining him at one time? I used Sim alot too in ranked before i started posting in here. He's a fun character, but i just started trying to develop Guile more exclusively since he was who i always used in all those SF2 versions..
I mained him in SF2, but never in Volt. I like him in Volt but feel that I can't get to the level of some of the top Guiles (and there are a lot). Having not ever played SF4 prior to Volt, my FADC game is very weak, so it's hard to main any characters that rely heavily on it without putting in a sh*t ton of work.
