I'm pretty sure it was me. It seemed simpler to just say I locked in the license on something rather than go into a big explanation that I started a download, paused it, and then deleted it so the license for the app would be acquired. I guess I said it a few too many times, but that's honestly what I do a lot of times with games that drop to free that I'm not ready to play.
I've purchased games years ago I still haven't played yet. EDIT: I see in iTunes my first purchase was Apple's Texas Holdem. That's about as old as you can get. Well, besides the brick breaker game I used to play on my regular ipod.
I had something on the magnitude of 1800 games and apps last I checked on my PC through iTunes. I'm sure I added another 100 or so since then. It was shocking since I've only been an iOS gamer for a year, but once I found the free app finders and price drops... it became really easy to acquire a few new games every single day (if not more than a few). I figure eventually I'll get in the mood for a specific genre and I'll dig through what I already own that fits the bill. But beyond myself, my kids all have iPodTouch 4 devices. When they cruise the appstore they can download anything that has the "install" button since they are all on iOS6 without needing my password. So all those licenses are going to go to good use at one point or another.
