update schedule So the update that will go through any day now will fix some iPad 2 texture issues, crashing, and auto-rotate. The update following that will be bigger. 4 new dolphins: Shamrock Hunter Bailey Foster More info and pics soon One of them is a spinner and will have a special ability of quite a bit of speed - you'll be able to outrun a lot of enemies that Bandit cannot. All the additional characters can be traded for pearls, permanently unlocked. I will also shorten the unlock on simon and Zoey to 4 and 8 hours (thank u Jped for the suggestion).
Omg! After the newest large update TA should surely review your game. Or at least post an article of some sorts.
You need to keep submitting and resubmitting it to these different sites, and PM the venerable likes of cats like Shaun Musgrave, who can see a good game when it's staring him in the face. It's a shame that most of the big sites only review games the week of release, and then act as if the games which somehow slipped through the cracks never existed. Oh, by the way, I live on a boat and I very, very occasionally can hear dolphin songs vibrating through my deck. I thought it was this game at first yesterday, but I hit pause and there it was again. Such a magical moment. Looking forward to the update, by the way! Would love to be able to permanently unlock a character or two.
Yay more permanent dolphins! what about the random fish in the red stages deactivation? Will it be included?
Review of Shark Eaters I found this review of Shark Eaters: https://koffeeklaud.wordpress.com/2015/01/22/ios-review-experiencing-reincarnation-in-shark-eaters-rise-of-the-dolphins/ Of course there is self interest in liking this review - but please take the time to read it. It is extremely well written in of itself. Infact, all of the reviews on this page are fabulous - they go into so much depth and subtlety of the games. Good reads.
Just got this one. Played through the first few levels so far. First thing that hits me is the graphics. They are truly excellent. I've seen games like Infinity Blade and thought "Wow! This is amazing that they can have graphic like this on the phone." But this blows Infinity Blade out of the water (pun intended). The dolphins are so well rendered, and the artists should be commended, as there is clearly a personality to the dolphin's features. I don't play games for graphics, though. As far as gameplay goes, I found the controls to be intuitive and easy to use. The challenge to fun ratio also seems balanced as well. There is no story to speak of, which is a shame, because there is great potential to have a story driven, on rails, boss fight after boss fight-type game here. Something to think of for a sequel. Overall an excellent game. I really reccommend it.
Thank you ! What card did you get to ? So there is actually a very very elaborate story - and all the elements (why there are bright flashes when you eat sharks, why the sharks and fish are actually smarter than they should be, and there are sparkles when you jump) but we didn't have time to put it in. I think eventually we will have these comic book shorts as cards which will be rewards that explain everything in our little universe.
Other than I found the controls relatively hard to adapt to (guess I'm just not used to navigating in a 3D-space on the iPad), I fully agree with you. Haven't played too much yet, but it's definitely fun and you can tell it was made with love I got a code from this thread, so I didn't really know what to expect from this game. At first I thought it was a free-roaming "survival-game", where you swin though the ocean and have to find prey in order to keep yourself alive. But it turns out to be a more "arena-syle" fighting game, where you have to dodge enemy attacks, stun them and wait for the right moment to attack yourself. It's a cool experience and I recommend it to everyone to test out Its different from everything else I played so far on my iPad
The controls will click very deeply once you get further in. Please do post impressions at that point Thanks for playing!
