WEBSITE · TWITTER Hi there! My name is Artem and I am game developer. My new game Shifter! is coming out on iOS tomorrow (July 3, 2015). Shifter! is tiny single-screen puzzle platformer. Base game mechanic is kind of 15-puzzle mixed with pipe connection game: player can rearrange level parts in order to connect power source with exit door, located in one of the stone heads. Shift and combine different parts of the level, use strange mechanisms, connect mystic stone circuits, activate ancient heads and help little explorer to reach the exit. If you want to try Shifter! before release, here is some promo codes: 9TM36A4AJRFN P6K4HAHWWYJY J3TKXN6NJ3K9 RL79AR9KKMXW PY3YXFXEWFPA 6XRJR44T6WJN NERJ3R4Y9WJX YE7JT3LWHNAX MY3JLNXL3AXY XJ77KMPWXXFR If you have any questions about the game, I'll be glad to answer them. Thanks!
It is a good puzzle game with simple controls. I have only played a handful of levels, and so far it is a keeper. Levels are starting to get challenging for me. The sounds and graphics are nice too. I will update this when I get much further into it.
Looking at the pics/gifs, when moving a section, do you move a whole block area or can you also choose to move the tiny individual pieces? Game looks very interesting, and best of all different.
You can only move the area in which the hero was located when you decided to start shifting. Also moving is possible only in horizontal/vertical directions, also there are "bad blocks" (with red crosses, as you can see in the gif), they are blocking the ability to move that areas until you connect the power circuit to blocks.
Actually game mechanic is more like Continuity, if we talk about similarities. Yes, initally Shifter was a flash browser game. Then I realized that touch controls will suit the game much better.
An excellent and surprisingly sophisticated tile shuffling puzzle game. Like to know if the developer has investigated on the minimum number of moves needed to solve each level, in terms of the number of shuffling the player needs to do with the tiled world parts and the total distance the player character needs to walk.
