We are really happy that you dig the gameplay, humor and style of our game. All things in the game were crafted with heart and soul and it is soooo good to hear that you like it. And yes, we still love to listen to the soundtrack in our spare time. Every feedback is important and will be read and discussed in the team. If you want to join the beta, sign up at http://www.bloodirony.com. I am currently very generous with giving out invites . Help us to make the game more awesome and train your awesome shmup skills so you have a leg up to reach a top place in the highscores, when it's released. btw, that's me in Shooting Stars form and you might see me and the other 2 Bloodirony boys sometime in the game
I just got my hands on a beta!!! Gameplay is tood so far with minor glitches but nothing too serious (I already sent feedback about it) I hope I get more cupcakes to eat
Great to hear, hope you enjoy the beta. We will Had to look up tood first.. anyhow: YAY! The final version has strawberry-, raspberry-, mango- and rainbow cupcakes. All of them are special revenge items. And as everybody knows: Revenge is best served c̶o̶l̶d̶ with a delicious cupcake. Oh and we have a new ultimate attack called "Disco of Doom" (it is absolutely not influenced by a zoo themed game, kind of...) cheers Stefan
Can't believe I haven't seen this game! It looks AMAZING!!! The stylisation is epic, and the characters too!. Can't comment on the gameplay although it looks pretty good.
This game is absolute madness!! I love it, I will say it's easier to play on my iPad than my phone but that might have something to do with my sausage links fingers
Thank you so much! If you'd like to give feedback on the gameplay, why don't you sign up for the Shooting Stars beta? Haha.. yes! Playing Shooting Stars on the iPad is a bit easier. So if you are a highscore hunter I would definitely suggest using the iPad. If you just want to work off stress for a couple of minutes, the iPhone or any other mobile device would be good enough. Hey fabianb, TADAAAAA! There is a beta If anyone wants to join our beta, feel free to signup at bloodirony.com. No strings attached except maybe your firstborn child but we haven't decided on a strategy yet. cheers Stefan
I signed up for the BETA. Put my username in the "anything else you would like to add box" name is Jack C
So iv'e had this almost a day at the moment and I have to say it's really good. I have some questions and problems with it though. Can I post them here developers?
I love to hear that. Sure, ask! If it's super detailed feedback please use our feedback form at bloodirony.com/feedback.
The games is amazing and I would have about a hundred positives. But I know in the development stages you want to hear what improvements people think are needed. These are just my opinions - Tutorial. When I clicked the daily challenge and it just chucked me in there without knowing what I am doing. This mode is probably best being unlocked after people complete the tutorial. There's also no tutorial in the card collector mode too. Maybe have a separate tutorial that "trains you to be awesome" and unlocks something like your "awesome boots" or something when someone first starts the game? - Main screen text. Under the daily challenge it says "get secret items by ruling the h" is the h meant to be a word? - Leaderboards. When you go leaderboards it would be good if it could automatically go to your ranking and score so you don't have to scroll and search for it. - Hearts. When a heart comes up on the screen and you are full you can't collect it. That's ok, but it should follow you up when it goes to the next level. - Difficulty. I don't know if the game is supposed to be ridiculously hard but it is from the get go, maybe start off with some easy tier characters, the mid tier, hard tier, extreme tier? - Pick ups. There's nothing that says what picking up bacon, blue balls and all that does? - Dead enemies. Only a few of their bodies lie on the floor but because they are coloured I kept getting fooled into going to pick them up thinking they were items when they weren't. Maybe make all dead enemies one colour? - Card Hunt. There's a description but nothing tells me that I will find them overt once in a while. I went in assuming each time I beat a character I got a card. - Pause button. I don't know if there isn't one on purpose but I feel it needs one
Hey triggywiggy, thanks for your detailed feedback! I love how much detail you've packed in there Our users tests have shown that the player usually gets the very basics of Shooting Stars within a couple of seconds. Instead of a classic tutorial we're currently adding a lot of direct feedback into the game so you're able to learn everything while playing. Oh and the colored balls are placeholders for unfinished "Superfood" assets We have replaced the default font with a completely new one and expanded all the textareas. The next version allows you to finally find out what this mysterious "h" is about It actually does. But due to the lazy loading of the highscore entries we currently have an issue scrolling to someone who is not in the top 50. Shooting Stars combines the best aspects of luck, randomness, strategy and skill. And we don't want to give players the ability to stack unsused hearts for a later, more difficult, area. So you always have to be prepared to handle a completely unpredictable situation Haha... we hear this quite often. The balancing of the game is still a huge task to tackle. So, don't be worried, the game will become easier And yes, we're thinking of adding different difficulty tiers in a future update where we want to target more experienced players. (e.g. Nightmare Mode) We're currently testing a new way of making the corpses a bit less distracting by reducing the contrast of the body. We're not completely sure if it will work as expected but we'll try to find a great solution Thanks for bringing this up. We will add some more clues of what happening. Everytime you defeat a boss there is a chance that this boss drops a card. but the chance is currently not balanced enough. We've heard your praiers! There will be a pause button. A real one. To tap.
